Will soon be part of the Ramada chain (March 09 they say). Porter told me proudly it was 'cinq etoiles' but three stars is more accurate. They didn't have a record of my reservation, even though I had the the reservation number. They gave me hassle when settling my bill. Room service was BAD. I was forced to choose the... more

Good hotel in la Ville Nouvelle. 15mns by car from the entrance to the Medina and 5mns from the train station. A few bars around. The swimming pool of the hotel is enjoyable but really small. The rooms are nice and spatious. The service was disappointing though, especially when it comes to suggest restaurant. Overall functional place but lacks the... more

From the moment we entered the hotel it was a nightmare. They confiscated all of our water and our alcohol. Maybe the alcohol wasn't a huge deal but our water?! One of the staff actually stood in the elevator so several of our group couldn't go up. She demanded that they turn over all their grocery store bags. We were... more

This officially 5-star hotel was fancy some time ago. Presently it is poorly ran. The service is bad and the maintenance is pathetic. We stayed there 3 days out of choice. Good shower is an unheard concept, despite promises. Burned light bulbs, broken safe, and other broken things are not replaced anymore. Food is *really* bad, even for a hotel....... more

This can't be a 5-star hotel. I have never seen such bad service. From the moment we got there, the management was rude to us. When we checked in, we asked for a restaurant recommendation. They told us they had a restaurant in the hotel. We explained that we wanted some place that locals ate. The manager told us that... more

We stayed in this hotel for two nights as part of our organized tour. The rooms were nice--not what I expected for a five-star hotel--but nice enough. Like the other post stated, the minibar was not working for us either. The hotel puts on a very nice Belly Dancing and Cultural Show, but I don't know how authentic it is... more

An imposing lobby but the rooms are reminiscent of a fading Holiday Inn: Minibar disconnected and the bathroom fixtures erratic. But there was one delightful experience - the in-room literature which promised "a large restaurant card for tasting the delights of refined cuisine melted for the palace pleasure." If that wasn't enough, there is, "combining the cozy content and the... more
