Wow! Where do I begin? We had the trip of our lives and I believe it was because we were able to stay at the Riad 9. When I read the amazing reviews on Trip Advisor I decided to email and see if there was a room available. Even though there are only 3 rooms, there was no problem with... more

Riad 9 is a beautifully restored 18th century guest house with an abundance of painting, tile and woodworking, that showcases the Moroccan aesthetic. More importantly, its hosts, Bruno, Steven, Attica, and Ketoum, are warm, open-hearted people who, in the four days we were there, made us feel like family. We loved Fes, its energy, the kind people, the delicious food,... more

Tucked in the heart of the medina, Riad Numero 9 is one of the most beautiful and welcoming places I've ever stayed in; its breathtaking Islamic interiors and lovely artefacts all have captivating stories attached to them. The transformation of the riad is the work of owners Stephen di Renza and Bruno Ussel, each with their own particular talents more

I have travelled all over the world and stayed in some of the fanciest places in the world, however, i think i have found the perfect place for me. Riad 9 is truly brilliant. Stephen and Bruno ( i only met bruno whilst had many email conversations with stephen) have created a haven in otherwise frantic, exciting medina. The riad... more

Have you ever felt at home in a hotel or a guesthouse? Well the very first time it happened to us was during our stay at Riad 9. We travel a lot and have spent nights in various types of accommodations from a basic dormitory in Tibet to a 5* hotel in Europe without ever having felt at home like... more

My son and I spent three nights in Fez. He insisted on avoiding the "fancy, touristy hotels and resorts". He was particularly interested in getting a feel for the country and its people. Short of living there for an extended period this choice was could not have been better. Its all been said in the other reviews. In fact I... more

A superlative experience. My two-night stay at Riad Numero 9 became a four-night stay simply because I realized this is a singular, not-to-be-missed, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Owners \ curators Stephen and Bruno have assembled picture-perfect accommodations, from the selections of books on the shelves to the music playing in the courtyard to the use of free, reliable wi-fi and MacBook. Meals... more

We had a fantastic stay at Riad Numero 9 in Fez. The place is so Romantic and ideally located in the Fez Medina. The place is beautifully decorated, a mix of traditional Moroccan style with modern furniture. Stephen and Bruno, the owners have created a stylish and unique gem with a truly distinctive feel. Better than a boutique hotel in... more

Where to start. Stephen and Bruno have created an oasis. Without a doubt, staying at Riad Numero 9 made my time in Fes better in every way. From the beautiful accomodations (meticulously renovated) to the incredible hospitality (Bruno and Stephen go above and beyond), it is THE place to stay in Fes. Not to be missed! more

Riad 9, is one of the most magical places, that I have ever stayed in. Of course the incredible setting of Fes, is unbeatable. However, the hospitality and décor of Riad 9 was magnificent. There is nothing about our stay that I found disappointing. This is a place for people who want something entirely unique, and visually inspiring. We were... more
