Mabrouka is among the very firts riads opened in Fès, almost 10 years ago, before the medina was a trend. This is a large house with a french touch. I mean, that most of the furniture is french familly-owned antiques. The owners actually come from Lyon in France. Allthough their welcome is a bit colder than other Dar or Riads,... more

If you're visiting Fes and want an authentic Moroccan experience then you must stay at a RYAD, an old Moroccan home turned into a hotel/bed/breakfast. I highly recommend the RYAD MABROUKA and here are my reasons: (1) IT WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY - outside it's very low-key: white walls, a wooden door and a simple sign. But once you... more

My husband and I spent five nights in early April of 2008 at the Ryad Mabrouka. The only thing we regretted was that we couldn’t stay longer. The ryad, built in the 1920’s, was formerly the home of Moroccan family. The present owners, who are French, spent two years restoring the house and have done a magnificent job. The interiors... more

Very well located. Good and friendly hosts. Great Breakfast -Beautiful rooms very clean and large. Like all Ryads needs some airing. Beautifully decorated and a gem in the city. Arranged a guided tour for us which went well . Has good views from the terrace. Remember if you are staying on the ground floor rooms then you can hear and... more

Beautiful riad, great balance of location, comfort and price Had the Merinides Suite and Bayda Room on first floor - clean, pretty, bathrooms with towels, etc; great breakfasts (a little too much to eat) and lovely dinner; refreshing plunge pool Entrance to old medina was about 2 mins walk away, and riad is located close to Bab Boujloud where a... more

There is a great sense of relief when entering the Ryad from the gloomy alley on which it lies but don't expect an overwhelming welcome if you the ask for something like a coffee. The staff are Ok, but Hasan, whose role we never discovered but seems to be some sort of Manager reacts in a way which makes one... more

The Riyad Mabrouka in Fes is a blissful; from the moment you step through the big doors into the courtyard, to the moment you leave. We stayed in the Royal Suite, mainly because there was none other available at the time, and we had a regal time for a reasonable sum. The room was sumptuous, in a very Moroccan way:... more

Coming to Morocco for the first time is a true assault on the senses. And if you want a haven then there is no doubt that this Ryad is peaceful. Good things: 1. Great breakfast, delicious pastries, jams, coffee etc, attentive staff. 2. Dinner was excellent (we had it twice), great wine list and wonderful food. The balcony level where... more

Situated on the northern edge of the Medina, Ryad Mabrouka offers a warm wlecome, attentive but unobtrusive service and attention to detail. We stayed for four nights toward the end of January 2008 - after some difficulty finding the Ryad (a not uncommon problem in Fes!), we walked into an oasis of beauty and calm that proved to be a... more

We arrived at Ryad Mabrouka late at night and were immediately charmed by its ambience and our gracious reception. After a meal beginning with various salads, olives, Moroccan bread, followed by a delicious fish tagine, served with a respectable Moroccan cabernet, and finished with a orange blossom scented fruit salad, we sat in the garden enjoying the serene beauty of... more
