We spent two nights here on our 4-day tour of Morocco. We wanted to get our feet wet with a short stay to see IF we liked it. From Tangier, after a ferry ride from Algecerias, Spain, we had a 5-hr. drive to Fez or Fes. This makes for a very long day and you are tired! The front staff... More

Our room was quite comfortable and decorated very nicely. The bed was great. On the down side, it was hard to sleep because of constantly barking dogs. Also there are no screens and after opening the window our room was filled with flies. Finally, the restaurant staff tender to be nasty and unhelpful. The hotel is located convenient to the... More

Worst hotel in our one-week trip to Morocco. Breakfast was VERY scarce with no fruit, no cheese, no ham, no nothing.... The room was also horrible... I even kept the door knob when closing on one ocassion!

Quick review: Pros; 1- The hotel is in a good location of Fez and is close to the main center as well couple of nice coffee shops that are open pretty late. 2- Staff are very helpful and friendly 3- The Wifi is average, not strong for streaming clips especially in the bedrooms 4- The rooms and bathrooms are very... The hotel has a wonderful location , in a lovely city of lovely people and is central for eateries of any type that you may require. The boulevards and night-life are close to hand, as are supermarkets and shopping malls.

Had two nights here as part of a Morocco tour, wished we had only one night! Looks great when you walk in but doesn’t follow through behind the façade. Sub standard cleanliness, maintenance and service, really can’t recommend to anyone. Maintenance wise – tap not connected to sink, cracked bathroom mirror, ill fitting window so all the road noise from... More

This hotel is in a nice location in Fes. It is close to a nice shopping center where you can get bottled water, food, and beer. The hotel also has a bar and restaurant in it, however the bar is very expensive. There is WiFi in the lobby which is nice. The rooms are pretty nice. I really liked the... More

the old medina of fes is one of the most beautiful places I ever visited in my life. it is a perfect reflection of the old and rich moroccan history. the old city is full of riads and old styled hotels that are nice, but expensive. hotel zalagh is close to the old medina - arround 10 minutes in taxi... We arrived later than we should have, as our coach had broken down en route! However, distribution of rooms etc. was dealt with efficiently enough by our courier and reception. As we were late, it was a bit of a rush for the restaurant for dinner on the first night. The self-service buffet was adequate but not brilliant. Certain items... More

Rooms are very spartan, in bad need of refurbishment. Beds are just horrible. Food is variation of the same everyday and worse of all service in the restaurant is terrible, unorganized and rude. Night service unavailable and hotel looks deserted during the night with night receptionist sleeping in the guest area of the lobby. At the reception there is no... More
