I was travelling with a friend in Fes, and after a long day of walking, getting lost and bargaining in the medina, we decided to climb up the hill and have a well-deserved tea with mint at the terrace of this hotel. The view was breathtaking at sunset and hearing the adhan, call to prayer, was magic. Tea service was... More

This hotel sits atop a hill and looks out across the medina and valley. The view from our room was great. There is a patio with comfortable seating that also looks out across the valley, and there was live music. The room was comfortable and had nice artwork and pottery as decorations. A plate of fruit awaited us in our... More

The view from this hotel is enough for us to book it again. We had a view overlooking the medina, which is beautiful during the day or night. We were also greeted with a basket of fresh fruits and complimentary water and sparkling water, which were an unexpected treat. Service is very hospitable, breakfast was good, grounds were well kept... More

I have a hard time with this hotel because it is located on the hills overlooking the Medina. The views are worth the stay alone, however the hotel is tired (or at least the room we had was). This is a first class facility for sure, but don't expect more. The breakfast they serve was exceptional but the restaurant opportunities... More

On entering through the front doors of Les Merinides Hotel you’re in a beautiful room full of Moroccan features. This leads on to a terrace which has a breath-taking view across a valley to the city of Fez. This, unfortunately is where the accolades end. My partner and I were staying at the hotel for two nights on a half-board... More

The hotel is extremely well located, on top of a hill which provides a really nice view of Fes. You are also woken up in the morning with the call to prayer which cuts through the sound proof rooms. The hotel is truly built in the old grand style with huge driveways, grounds and a large opulent lobby with traditional... More

This hotel is in a great location overlooking the Medina. It gives the feeling that it is getting a bit past its best and is in need of a refurb, but it is very clean and staff friendly. Our room was a good size and overlooked the Medina. There were very few people staying there and our table was the... More

We visited this hotel as part of a trip around Morocco with Saga. It is a lovely hotel in a superb position overlooking the whole of Fes. Our room was well laid out with an area for sitting and a good sized bathroom. However the hotel was very quiet in late February and it all felt a bit dead. The... More

The view overlooking the medina is extraordinary. This is really the major advantage of staying here. Request a room on the medina side if at all possible. There is a lovely outdoor pool. We sampled both the breakfast and dinner buffets. They were good -- especially the dessert table. On my next visit to Fes, I would stay at an... More
