We visited in October 2013.This was one of the tour hotels on our excursions. We were lucky to celebrate our wedding anniversary here and as a treat by the staff were given a suite for the 2 nights that we stayed there. It was a shame that we could not have stayed longer to enjoy the room more.As stated before the view... We loved this hotel in Fez. Everything was perfect, the view was magnificient and the verandah was a beautiful place to sit and have a drink while the sun was going down. A good trio livened things up in the evenings and we enjoyed the buffet which we found to be the best of all the hotels we visited whilst... More

Very comfortable with lovely view over town. Woken at 5 am by call to prayer from mosque close by. Barking dogs and drum sounds from nearby housing.. Adequate for the purpose of transit accommodation on tour of Morocco.

Awesome decore, and room was very good although a couple of items let the place down. Have to sat though, once these deficiencies were pointed out to staff they were fixed promptly. Food and service were generally very good however when trying to change some money I encountered a very disinterested female employe who gave the impression she was doing... More

This hotel has impressive decor in the gorgeous Moroccan style. The views overlooking the medina are fabulous. There's a 40 metre long pool surrounded by an attractive lounge area. It is important to request a room overlooking the medina. Ours did not - it overlooked a cemetry and local housing. We were woken at about 4 am each morning by... More

We had a lovely room for two night overlooking the Medina. It was a little noisy as the sound proofing was not good. We were not impressed with the staff in the dining room. They were disinterested, did not keep the food in the buffet filled and were slow to prepare tables. The food was ok but not particularly hot.... More

It's a good idea to get away from the extreme activity of the Fes medina. Take a small taxi from the Bab Boujloud and get away from it all. Sit in the lovely outdoor lounge in the thick and generous seating. Order a cold drink, coffee and relax. The staff were comfortable with us visiting - the place was empty... More

Now first, I just want to clarify: I did NOT get food poisoning from this hotel and did not even eat here. I'm sure it is delicious and clean food. I was simply lucky enough to experience the unmistakable symptoms of full-blown, explosive food poisoning in the bathroom of Les Merinides. So while I can't tell you too much about... More

Was here as part of a group for two nights in April. The hotel was a building site with many alterations going on everywhere. Room itself was just about acceptable apart from the rubbish on the flat roof outside the window. Food in the restaurant (buffet service) was poor, not labelled and cold. The main problem is the attitude of... More

Although the Les Merinides offers outstanding view over the city, the bedrooms are in desperate need for a major refurbishment . I travelled as part of a group (16 people), the rooms were extremely dusty due to the fact there was an inch gap in-between the sliding window panels . I was kept wake most of the night by dogs...
