We ended our Morocco trip in Fez, and absolutely loved the city and the hotel. It is an old palace, has an amazing pool for kids (although it is not shallow) and pool-side service (ask for hamburgers and fries, cannot go wrong)...also a great Spa (we used it, and our 6yr old daughter got her hair styled as the local... The hotel has a fantastic location overviewing the old city, facing most of the mosques around. A former palace ,from our balcony we could see the magnificent pool and gardens that are an invitation for the "dolce far niente " mainly after the breakfast where the selection of items are impressive, from the finest french pastries to the tasteful morocan... Stayed here with my husband and our two kids (8 and 11). We all loved it. Had a beautiful view of the wall of the old city. The service was great, and our room was wonderful. Can't comment on the location, as we had a guide with a car that took us all over Fez so we couldn't really figure... More

We came here for afternoon tea and a short spa treatment. Don't get me wrong, the building is absolutely breathtaking, although in need of repair (especially around the gardens). There's something charming about a place like the Palais Jamai that has since lost its tremendous sense of grandeur, but if this place is going to be a five-star Sofitel hotel,... More

This Property was amazing in terms of the location next to the medina. the views from the rooms and the public areas gave amazing vistas of the city and the surrounding countryside. The courtyard and the pool area were clean and classic. The food was excellent, with the breakfast buffet being my favorite. My only gripe was they were like... More

The hotel has lovely grounds, a nice little boutique in back of grounds, very friendly and responsive food servers, there were treats in our room each night, and they left rose petals in the bathroom…. but don't have the front staff help you unless you want to throw your money away and be deceived. We asked for their help to... More

The interior is a riot of colorful tile, the breakfast was on a terrace with a spectacular view and a huge variety of food, our only minor complaints would be that the hotel bar dinner was expensive (for Morocco) and the hotel is a bit far from the fascinating medina.

The old city of Fes is a fascinating place and you have to stay in this palace to enjoy the best view on the Medina and watch at the sun sets, listening to the calls to the prayer. A wonderful experience ! We found the hotel as it was 25 years ago during our last visit in the same suite.... More

I stayed two wonderful weeks in the Palais Jamai in Febrary - I had visited the hotel and meandered around the medina over 40 years ago. The hotel was as charming as I remembered and the staff were wonderfully welcoming and obliging. I stayed around the hotel - escaping the snow at home and catching up on my reading and... More
