Here's the good part. It's a fine looking hotel inside and out, with a great view over the old town of Fes from half the rooms (the other half facing the opposite direction have no view worth looking at). The viewside rooms are lovely with great balconies. Just make sure you get a higher floor or you wont have a... More

This hotel is my favourite in Morocco. The decor is stunning and the service is friendly and efficient. The view across the medina is fantastic and you can walk there easily. It's a bit disappointing that you can't get the buffet lunch anymore, but the food (particulalry breakfast) is very good. My advice is not to buy anything form the... More

I stayed at the Sofitel Palais Jamai in Fes, Morocco. My stay was horrendous. The staff aggressively pursued guests for tips. We witnessed two doormen actually publically fight to carry in a guest's bag. When I requested information about the area, the concierge told me it was too unsafe and I must hire her guide (this turned out to be... More

The staff and atmosphere at this hotel are wonderful. The hotel has an incredible location right on the medina, and the waves of sound with the call to prayer is truly magical. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the Moroccan restaurant inside as well as the Hamam are the best I've ever experienced. Tips: arrive right after New Year's... More

Although only on a night stop, we had enough time to enjoy the property. Well appointed rooms with a large balcony overlooking the city. An excellent Moroccan restaurant where we could sample beautiful couscous with excellent local wines. A nice buffet for breakfast with table service for the hot dishes. The building itself is beautiful being an old palace. Lots... More

The location of this modern hotel is perfect: in the border of the old medina. It is accessible by car and it is near the best places inside the medina. More

If you can bottle great hospitality, fantastic comfort, impeccable service, perfect location it would be called Sofitel Palais Jamai. This hotel has managed to create the perfect mix of real Morocco with western luxury without overdoing it. The staff are very warm and friendly which is rarety in luxury establishments. The food was of a very high standard. Eating breakfast... More

After recommendations of our parents who stayed in the hotel before we decided to book the Sofitel for our two nigh stay in Fes. We are three persons, two adults and one child and because they allow only two persons to book online I called the hotel prior to my reservation. I called the hotel in the evening and the... More

When in Fes, if you're not staying in a riad, stay at the Sofitel Palais Jamais. While it is quite expensive, it is easy to locate, has a bar and two restaurants, a great spa/hammam, a lovely garden - and an amazing view that looks over the medina. At the end of a long day, it was great to retire... More

Splendid hotel, amazing location, spectacular views of the medina. The moment you walk into this hotel you will feel like you have entered an ancient morrocan palace. Everyone is dressed traditionally the decor is beautiful and well maintained. The check-in process was smooth. We didn't have to stand in front of the check-in counter, we were ushered to the sofas... More
