We had a lovely stay at this riad. The riad is very grand and beautifully decorated with tiles, intricate wood and plasterwork. The rooms were also very luxuriously decorated. Our room was the Marrekesh. Beautifuly and tastefully furnished and on the top floor. I saw a previous post which commented about the stairs being steep ( whinger, I thought!) but... More

This was a lovely Riad in the middle of the medina. We stayed there for 2 nights and the hosts were very welcoming and hospitable. We had a meal in the Riad on the second night and it was lovely. The room was big and very quiet with excellent wi-fi access. It was an oasis from the bustle of the... More

A true riad has trees in the courtyard, so this is a dar, but they're working on the trees. Unlike many proprietors, Katrin and Melle, a Belgian couple, live on the premises. Sound really carries in a riad, given the layout, but the kitchen was two doors removed from the courtyard, which helps a lot. The 5:30 call to prayer... More

The riad is conveniently located closely to the main street and the blue gate. The riad itself is gorgeous to the smallest details, the traditional Moroccan beauty has been preserved with a few modern touches. The owners take pride in the riad and in the city. The bedroom was very comfortable and it looked even better in real life than... More

When I saw for the first time the photos on the hotel on the web page, I thought it was only a very good advertisement on internet. In real life it’s more than a hotel with nice people, just looking on decorations, on little details which did the difference for the entire living place. I had the impression of sharing... More

We stayed here for a few nights on a recent holiday and were very impressed with the interior décor (typical mosaics and carvings typical of this area around Fes). Not only was it a great looking, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There are two rooftop terraces where we... More

I would highly recommend Dar el Bali in Fez. The rooms are beautiful. It is like a palace. The host family meet us a the gate to the medina and we followed him in. He explained how to got to the riad in the future and it is very easy. Just take the small alley by the carpet shop and... More
