Everything like described, an oasis from calm in the middle of the Medina. Very nice bedroom, decoration, attention and very peaceful! It is also interesting to stay in such a beautiful riad. The best from Fes

This beautiful little gem is a delight! It's owned by a charming Belgian family who have lived in Morocco for over a decade. The Riad itself is clearly a labour of love and they spent five years restoring the building to perfection, paying attention to even the smallest of details. It is scrupulously clean and absolutely stunning, decorated tastefully and... More

This Dar (a riad with a courtyard but no fountain) was built as such over 100 years ago and the exceptional renovation undertaken by the current French owners has produced an authentic experience with all the modern facilities. In addition the family management is attentive and very well-informed. Their promptness in communication would do justice to a five star hotel,... More

This Riad has been restored beautifully. Our room felt wonderfully authentic, the shower was really good and the beds super comfortable. I had dinner on one night and the food was really fresh and tasty. Equally breakfasts were varied and delicious. I love the fresh orange juice! The rooftop terrace has stunning views over Fes, my boyfriend and I spent... More

I was fortunate to spend my birthday at this lovely riad in the Argana Suite, and I really did feel like a princess! The room was unbelievably beautiful and quite large, with tiles all around and a fabulous wood ceiling. The owners were very kind, and when they found out it was my birthday had a rose put in my... Dar El Bali is an excellent guest house. It is located right in the medina and easy to find once you have your bearings. The rooms are large and well decorated. The best part (I thought) was the two roof top terraces. Both are spacious and have plenty of spaces to sit and relax. The breakfast was good and varied... More

Exceptionally well restored house, Amazingly quiet place in the bustle. The family ( who stay there ) really made us feel welcomed ( and even made our 2 year old feel comfortable ), helped us with every arrangement ( restaurants, hammans, cars, washing etc...)enjoyed a lovely evening chat with them and could see feel their love for Morrocco, for Fes... We had a lovely stay at this riad. The riad is very grand and beautifully decorated with tiles, intricate wood and plasterwork. The rooms were also very luxuriously decorated. Our room was the Marrekesh. Beautifuly and tastefully furnished and on the top floor. I saw a previous post which commented about the stairs being steep ( whinger, I thought!) but... More

This was a lovely Riad in the middle of the medina. We stayed there for 2 nights and the hosts were very welcoming and hospitable. We had a meal in the Riad on the second night and it was lovely. A true riad has trees in the courtyard, so this is a dar, but they're working on the trees. Unlike many proprietors, Katrin and Melle, a Belgian couple, live on the premises. Sound really carries in a riad, given the layout, but the kitchen was two doors removed from the courtyard, which helps a lot. The 5:30 call to prayer... More
