We had a great time staying at this riad in Fes - othet than the ambiance being relaxing and beautiful (restored mansion with lovely garden, courtyards and terraces), the staff was SO helpful. We had a million questions and concerns as we were taking an overnight train to Marrakech the next night and they accomodated our every need, always with... More

Riad Idrissy was the absolutely perfect place to rest and rewind. The riad has been beautifully restored to combine the ancient and the modern. There are delightful little touches everywhere you look. Add to that free wifi and a panoramic rooftop view over the city. And the breakfasts! They're fresh and delicious and will keep you stuffed for the rest... More

We spent 3 nights at the Riad Idrissy / Ruined Garden and loved every minute! The service was superb - very high touch and personal (Sue was spectacular!). The riad is amazingly in its beauty and authenticity - down to the tiny architectural details - Robert really has done such a nice job restoring this 320 year space. We stayed... More

From the moment we walked into the Ruined Garden, we were made to feel at home. This never let up for the four days we were there, with the staff always managing to be just-that-bit-ahead of our needs, while being completely unobtrusive. Host Robert's enthusiasm for his adopted city and the oasis he's created is infectious. Every corner of the... More

3 brothers on a pilgrimage to town of mothers birth arrived in Fes medina tired and hungry after extensive traveling - to be greeted warmly and escorted to this calm paradise palace enclave in the heart of the medina -felt like a king in royal exquisite rooms- beds to match -with articulate modern design touches in keeping with style and... The Riad Idrissy is a very friendly guest house. The team made my stay a very lovely one! The food is delicous and also the maroccan tea. The fourniture of the house is very traditional, my bed was on steps, a four-poster bed, lovely!! Thank you Sue and Aida for my nice days in Fes!!

A small oasis in the middle of the Medina. Very good service, fantastic rooms and very good food. We were there for just a few days in March 2015, the weather was very bad, cold and raining, but at the Riad Idrissy we were very comfortable, so we stayed there as much as possible. Higly recommended if you need to... More

Riad Idrissy delivered all we were hoping for and more. Our room, the Shawoof Suite on the second floor, came with a lovely pained ceiling and a warm view into the top of the decorated atrium; the meals at the Ruined Garden restaurant (both breakfast and suppers) were top notch, with the morning donuts maybe the highlight; and the care... We stayed for three nights in the Library Room, which was very beautiful. We were welcomed very warmly by our hosts, Robert and Sue. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful with all questions we had. Unluckily the weather was bad, so we stayed in the Riad during the day. It is very cozy and we felt like at home.... More

Riad Idrissy has it all - a great location in the Fes medina, beautifully decorated and supremely comfortable rooms, a unique garden cafe/restaurant, a terrace with views of Fes and Mt Zelagh, and last but certainly not least, fantastic staff. I can't say enough about the staff - they will endeavor to meet your every need. We particularly enjoyed the... More
