This is our second time in Fez & staying at the Riad. I love Fez and I think a large part of that is the Riad Idrissy. I loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the sun & the sounds of the medina. I love all the beautiful features of the riad -- the tile work, the fountain, the ruined garden.... More

Great to revisit. Such a friendly welcome & such palatial quiet rooms. A lot of work has been done in the Ruined Garden & good to see the place bustling. Robert & Sue are very knowledgeable about the medina and can organise taxis if you want to go outside of the old city. Worth a detour!

The greeting we received from Sue (the Manager) was very special and made us feel welcome and relaxed straight away. We were introduced to the rest of the happy, friendly staff and then shown to our spacious period room along with our modern bathroom. The hotel has its own very popular 'Ruined Garden' restaurant which served an excellent standard of tradional... More

We arrived in Fez having stayed in a meticulous riad in Marrakesh, with someone doting on us ready to serve us a private breakfast on the terrace with carefully matched linens. (We're in our 60's.) Riad Idrissy was not that; much more funky and casual, and while that felt initially to be a contrast with the previous place which aimed... More

Wonderful staff, so welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful surroundings filled with colorful local art and plants. We loved the thoughtful coffee basket in the morning, mint tea on the rooftop terrace, and really delicious breakfast. Everyone there was so helpful and friendly, they made our stay perfect.

There were so many highlights of our stay at Riad Idrissy. Firstly, the riad is a beautifully restored home and has amazing detail, from the original floor tiles, to the elaborately carved doors, to the intricate patterns on our ceiling. There are lots of cosy spaces to chill out in, including a little library and a roof terrace with where... More

I stayed here in September 2014 with a friend. We stayed in the 'Library' suite or Maktaba, which has a large double bed. I had single bed added to the room which saws no hassle. The riad has been sensitively renovated and rescued from its status as a crumbling ruin. It showcases stunning Moroccan architectural details: intricate tile work, ceadrwood... More

We would happily have stayed for a week or more: the beautifully furnished room and courtyard, the generous breakfast, the brilliantly designed Ruined Garden, the imaginative food and, above all, the exceptionally friendly and helpful host, Robert - all make it difficult to leave Riad Idrissy, even to walk the nearby souks and admire the magnificent Fez architecture. James and... More

I had a wonderful time at Riad Idrissy, it is just off the main streets in the Medina so quiet and peaceful, and with the maps available and the helpful staff you won't get lost. Beautiful rooms, en-suite, reasonable prices, coffee/tea left by your bedroom door every morning, friendly staff who love to feed you up at breakfast, mineral water... More

We rented the whole house for 10 days during the Fez Festival. It was easy to access to the festival venues from the Riad. The restaurant made it easy for us to eat on our own schedule and take in the festival completely. Robert and Sue and the entire staff of Riad Idrissy really made it possible for us to... More
