Riad Idrissy- a refuge and comfort zone in the amazing maze of Fes' medina. We were upgraded to the Library Room for the first two nights- spacious, good shower/hot water (important in winter!), great terrace plus views for a super breaky (absolutely AMAZING "tagine baked eggs"!!!!). We never had enough time in any Moroccan city, really, so we'd defiitely come... More

Thanks to Robert and his assistant Sue, we continue to remember our visit to Fes extremely fondly. Robert has preserved the real feel of a riad while at the same time insuring the comfort of his western guests. They were there for us at the beginning and end of every day and gave us invaluable advice re: transportation, sites of... More

We stayed in the library room for 3 nights in early December. Everything about our stay was excellent. Room was grand and comfortable - since Riad was rather empty we also had a rather private adjoining library/sitting room as well as an outdoor patio/balcony. Breakfast was large and delicious - all the staff were friendly and helpful and interesting. My... More

Out of the many options in Fes, my boyfriend and I could not have been more thrilled with our choice to stay at Riad Idrissy for 4 nights. Everything from the outer gate to the garden entrance to the center courtyard immerses you in authentic, traditional Moroccan design and decor that generates a calm sense of wonder and appreciation. The... More

We spent four glorious nights in Fes in the terrace room at Riad Idrissy in early Nove. The Riad is a Sanctuary in the middle of the Medina. Woken each morning by the chorus from the various mosques call to pray, a swoop of swallows overhead. The Riad has been very beautifully restored, in lush colours the details a feast... More

A beautiful room in a beautiful house in a beautiful city. My friend and I are 40 something designers from NY, and we found the Riad Idrissy to be a total charmer. The interiors are unpretentious and casual, but thoughtfully designed. All of the staff was helpful, sweet and friendly. It was our first trip to Fez, and though our... More

My husband and I stayed at Riad Idrissy for two nights at the end of November, and we agree that it is by far one of the loveliest, most special hotels we've ever stayed at. If we could rate it more than 5 stars, we would! Needless to say, the grounds of the Riad are amazing and full of charm... More

We stayed her for four days two weeks ago and they remain some of the happiest days in our lives. All praise for the welcome, the beautiful rooms, the delicious food. But more than this, it is the warmth and love you receive from everyone which make it a transforming experience. You have to drag yourself away to go and... More

I cannot rave enough about Riad Idrissy for several reasons: firstly, the team led by Sue Bail are kind, warm and very caring as I discovered during a health drama when even the cook got involved and hugged me when I recovered. Secondly the food: marvelous breakfasts eggs baked with tomato and cumin and selection of wonderful breads, delicious fragrant... More

We stayed in Riad Idrissy for 7 nights and it was perfect. Sue, Robert and the whole team were wonderful hosts who really made us feel like it was a home away from home. The riad is stunning and the room was spacious with lovely decor. The people who work here really make the place special. Everything about it was... More
