If you want the unique experience of an authentic riad where owners and staff create a warm and friendly environment that makes you want to come back, Riad Tara is your choice. The view of the Medina and the mountains from the rooftop terrace, you will never forget. The riad's Moroccan cuisine is excellent. The friendlyness of the two (multi-lingual)... More

Everything about my experience at this riad was excellent, from the rooms and the stay to the extremely friendly and helpful staff. The proprietor is a very pleasant french gentleman named Jim who went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and comfortable during our stay. The property is beautiful and is well located. Dear all...just giving my humble perspective.... Pro's: 1) The staff were exceptionally amicable and very understanding to all my requests. 2) The atmosphere was very serene (as if being in Outer Space). 3) The room was as nice as any room in a hotel I have stayed in previously. 4) The Moroccan breakfast was scrumptiously fantastic, which included Msemmen (pancake)... My friend and I stayed at Riad Tara for two nights. The location is close to everything (but be careful to remember exactly what turns to make because the alleyways are very confusing), the bedroom and bathroom were adorable with the bedroom being one of the best decorated rooms I have ever stayed in, the common space was cute as... The Riad itself is somewhat on the outskirts of the medina, so it is important to try to remember your route home. The accommodation is comfortable with the option of heating (needed during our stay). We stayed in the Amber room. The bed was large and comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Our host came to see us... More

My husband and I stayed for a week at Riad Tara leading up to and over the Christmas period, and I must say, we couldn't have found a better place to stay. I emailed the owners beforehand to say that we would like a transfer from the airport, and also dinner at the Riad on the first night. We were... More

A friend and I stayed at the top floor Blue room for a week in December. I was fine for a sleep but too dark for me. No privacy in the washroom. Best for couples. The staff were wonderful and the owners very kind. Breakfast was so so, coffee excellant. Dinners were fine. The best thing about the Raid Tara... More

I loved my 5 day stay at Riad Tara. This is exactly what you need in Fez-- great staff, great location and a comfortable relaxing atmosphere. Price is unbeatable. Btissam and Fatiya were incredibly helpful. Riad Tara felt like home. I was most impressed by how the owners (Jim and Catherine) and staff came to my rescue. Unfortunately, I had... More

We booked this riad based on other positive reviews and despite the excellent reviews, this place exceeded our expectations in every respect. Excellent rooms, decoration, ambience, service, location and food. Despite being inside the medina, it is very quiet and peaceful and was a welcome oasis from the chaos of the medina. The breakfast and dinners were absolutely divine, the... More

Riad Tara is excellent value with nice rooms and great courtyard and rooftop terrace. Jim and the staff, especially Ibsisamar, are friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The meals were great, food was amazing. Good location for access to shopping in medina and close to an access gate. We had a traditional hammam and massage on Jims recommendation, a... More
