Funky Fes has a nice moroccan style, the general rooms incl rooftop terrace and the dorm bathrooms look great! Compared with some bathrooms Ive seen its pretty clean as well. Unfortunately the grumpy staff and the city ruined my stay, for me 1 day Fes was more than enough.

Funky Fes was a bit of a weird location at first, but once found, it was worth it. They had helpful staff and info on hand, cheap food available and lockers in the room. Lots of like young like-minded traveled here. Recommended. Also be aware of fake 'guides' at stations and anywhere, don't trust them one bit, they will be... More

Funky Fes was a big relief. The hostel is just outside the densest part of the medina, in a quiet area and yet very very close to the thick of action! Overall a very satisfying place to stay and meet other people, great service, helpful staff and friendliness all around. They arrange for several tours and workshops, which is a... More

Stayed for 2 nights in the 4-bed dorm and 1 night in the 12-bed. Location, despite being a little confusing, was only a (max) 10-min walk from the medina. Not only breakfast was provided free of charge (tea, coffee, orange, hard-boiled egg, crepes, bread, cake), but a variety of well-cooked meals for lunch and dinner too if ordered in advance.... If you watch the video that is emailed to you after booking, you should not have any problems finding this hostel, however you can just pay a friendly local kid 10DHM to take you there - there will be lots of helpful kids offering direction. We had a two nights stay and didn't spend too much time at the hostel... More

We stumbled across funky fes when trying to find a different hotel as we were very lost in the medina, but it was a good find! stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was nice an spacious and clean, the beds are not the most comfortably. Good hot shower and friendly staff. Breakfast was standard and there was quite a... More

Fez was the first place that we began our two week travels in Morocco. Before we had even reached the hostel, three locals had showed us the way and demanded of our money for their services. The service was wonderful from every member of staff that we were presented with. However, the rooms not so. The rooms were small and... More

A very friendly Riad/hostel close to the busy medina of FES. arrived without a reservation to find they were full. But this was not a problem as they were happy to let me sleep in a basement room for the first night for half of the real price. Breakfast was good: The usual coffee and pancakes and bead to be... Stayed for a night while in Fes. Decent general space lounge, generally friendly patrons and staff, simple but sufficient breakfast(free!), but the room is little cramped and not enough outlets for charging your gadgets, etc. Nice rooftop. Only if they had sold some beer and wine. But then again this is a medina in Morocco. The only and huge downside... More
