Pros: Value: 20 euros a night Location: just outside the medina so it's easy to find at night. Late check-in: we arrived at 11+pm with no problems Big room: we had a 3 single beds and a double bed in a room. Pretty ridiculous A/C: room has it and it works TV: not like you'll watch it but it worked... More

Great personnel. And the hotel was very clean. For the price no better choice. Breakfast is served at any time. Next to the hotel a small shop for fresh water, drinks etc. Great personnel. Our room was on the third floor and was huge!! It had a double bed and a bunk bed - there was only two of us though so this didn't really matter but it was nice to have the extra space. The bathroom was nice and big, with shower gel and shampoo available, however did smell and there were many... More

We were not sure with this choice but need not have worried as it was a great choice and a great stay. We arrived before 5am from an overnight bus but when we knocked on the door they let us in and took us straight to our room - amazing - we went straight to bed and it was wonderful.... More

We stayed here for two nights in September. The location is excellent, right next to the Madina. The staff are wonderful, extremely helpful and friendly. They arranged a guide to take us around the Madina and that was the highlight of our holiday. We were travelling by motorbike and a garage was provided for us just a minutes walk away.... More

My two friends and I stayed at Bab Al Madina in the middle of June this year and loved it. Our bus arrived in Fes at five in the morning. When we arrived at the hotel, Mohammad graciously let us sleep in the sitting/dining area (there are plenty of couches) as our room wasn't available yet. Just a few hours... More

The hotel was ok, although the bathroom has a low standard. Breakfast was good. The negative thing about the hotel is the place where it is located, it is not the most cosy area you can stay in. The good about the location is that it is close to the Medina. Watch out for people who are overpricing, for example... More

I stayed for a week in May 2013, a retired woman travelling alone. I was made to feel very welcome & all my requests were immediately granted, without being hassled to take up tours, guides etc. The hotel is family run with good staff, all of whom speak French & enough English. They will help you with all the information... More

We have stayed at Bab Al Madina several times when we fly into Fez and have found it to be perfectly adequate and pleasant. Unlike many other establishments at this price, the rooms are clean and fresh with simple decor and furnishings. The hotel is sparsely furnished with crisp white walls which is refreshing unlike some of the riahds deeper... More
