Great place to stay with extremely friendly staff who made us very welcome. We were met in place rcif on arrival and diligently shown the way through the maze of streets and given a good orientation of Fez! Best place we stayed on the trip and great value. Thanks!

In one word 'real'. That's exactly how I felt visiting Dar Gnaoua: real hospitality, friendship, and smiles. When our flight was delayed, we arrived very late and Laurence kindly insisted on picking us up in the airport. At first we thought that the reason behind that was that the city was dangerous; however, very soon we realized that she did... More

Newly renovated riad. Nice personnel and owner and astonishing view of the medina from the terrace. Comfortable bed and pillows. Negative points: 1. very difficult to find...anyway Rachid and Ahmed picked us up and helped us with luggage. 2. Just a curtain (no door) to isolate bathroom from bedroom.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your comment on our house; Our house was renovated between 2005 and 2006 (that is not really recent); Actually the bathroom with walk-in shower your menzeh chamber is separated by a curtain of the chamber; it is quite clear in the description, maybe you do not take the time to read it? Thank you to... More

It was actually the best place we stayed in, from the 6 hotels, riads and dars we visited during our 2 weeks Moroccan trip. From the first moment we contacted the Riad to book our stay until we left, Laurence, the French owner, was always attentive, helpful and warm. She made arrangements for us to be picked up at the... You seriously doubt your decision making abilities as you walk down some dodgy alleys to get to this Dar for the first time. But once the door open and you go inside it is like magic. The Dar is really great and all the staff makes you feel at home and welcome. They make you feel like it is your... More

We stayed 5 nights (3+2 with 1 night in Chefchaouen in between) in the Menzeh room, which was the room on the top floor with windows opening to the terrace. The whole house was beautifully restored to original details. The open view from the terrace was superb due to the high up location in the medina. Having breakfast there in... More

We traveled the north of Morocco as a group of 4 in March this year and Fes was our first stop - and what a great surprise this Riad was! We stayed a total of 3 nights at the dar gnaoua and Laurance and her team made us feel like friends, not "tourists". Starting from the pickup organization (which is... More

I was so happy to stay at Dar Gnaoua. The Dar was nicely decorated and quiet residential area. The room was cozy with A/C and small windows that I could see a beautiful view of Fes. It has a rooftop too where you can just relax and have a breakfast, with amazing view. And I must mention Ahmed who helped... More

We stayed here two nights in the royal suite.and I have never felt so welcome in a place. The room was huge, and the decor was authentically Moroccan and beautiful. They have the most amazing view from the terrace (probably one of the best in Fez), where we were served a superb breakfast. The staff took such good care of us... More

The staff in this Riad are the most welcoming and friendly of any accommodation I have ever stayed in. Not only did they arrange our pick-up from the train station they also personally showed us how to navigate around the maze like medina of Fes. The owners explained that when they first purchased the property they aptly named the terrace... More
