We really enjoyed our stay in a nice and spacious double room at the top of a historic building with beautiful details and furniture. Hidden gem! Great terrace where we had a delicious breakfast with fresh orange juice and a spectacular view over the Medina. Situated in the old Medina and near to the tourist attractions and small restaurants with... More

My husband and I spent a night at Dar Gnaoua in March, 2015 and absolutely loved it. The riad is charming, authentic and beautifully ornate. The building was recently renovated so that its beauty has been restored to its full splendor, and it feels historic but also fresh and clean (not old or run down). We stayed in the room... More

A dar so beautifully renovated, I'm totally jealous, wish I had one like this. Tasteful, peaceful, with very friendly staff indeed, great driver Balak that toured us around on the day we needed some downwinding from this unique bustling medieval Fez-medina. Terrace very fine, bathroom excellent, breakfast good, bring some strawberries, airco good,. Laurence, do let me know when you... More

The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay, even walking us to get our taxi in the morning and negotiating with the driver for us, very much appreciated. The riad had been beautifully restored and the view from the rooftop for breakfast in the morning was stunning!

This hotel has everything we need: a great service, good accommodations, safe environment, great breakfast, amazing view, clean. The only downside is the path to find it. It is completely impossible to get there without initial help. During the night (and although I never felt unsafe) it can be a bit scary. There are indications but they are still not... More

Great place to stay with extremely friendly staff who made us very welcome. We were met in place rcif on arrival and diligently shown the way through the maze of streets and given a good orientation of Fez! Best place we stayed on the trip and great value. Thanks!

In one word 'real'. That's exactly how I felt visiting Dar Gnaoua: real hospitality, friendship, and smiles. When our flight was delayed, we arrived very late and Laurence kindly insisted on picking us up in the airport. At first we thought that the reason behind that was that the city was dangerous; however, very soon we realized that she did... More

Newly renovated riad. Nice personnel and owner and astonishing view of the medina from the terrace. Comfortable bed and pillows. Negative points: 1. very difficult to find...anyway Rachid and Ahmed picked us up and helped us with luggage. 2. Just a curtain (no door) to isolate bathroom from bedroom.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your comment on our house; Our house was renovated between 2005 and 2006 (that is not really recent); Actually the bathroom with walk-in shower your menzeh chamber is separated by a curtain of the chamber; it is quite clear in the description, maybe you do not take the time to read it? Thank you to... More

It was actually the best place we stayed in, from the 6 hotels, riads and dars we visited during our 2 weeks Moroccan trip. From the first moment we contacted the Riad to book our stay until we left, Laurence, the French owner, was always attentive, helpful and warm. She made arrangements for us to be picked up at the... You seriously doubt your decision making abilities as you walk down some dodgy alleys to get to this Dar for the first time. But once the door open and you go inside it is like magic. The Dar is really great and all the staff makes you feel at home and welcome. They make you feel like it is your... More
