I stayed at this Riad with my husband and two sons, ages 14 and 12. The place is beautiful and well located, just a minute walk to the Blue Gate. The food prepared there is outstanding, and the view from the rooftop amazing, but what really struck me was how welcoming and friendly all of the staff were. The staff... More

Riad Hala was great. Very beautiful & clean hotel, central location in the medina, and a terrace on the roof with a fantastic view. The breakfast, mint tea, and service of the staff were all great. I recommend having a staff person meet you at your taxi as the Riad is very hard to find on your own. I also... More

Riad Hala is so perfectly located on a busy street just inside the medina, close to Bab Boujeloud. As soon as you go inside it's suddenly so quiet and peaceful, you wouldn't believe the hustle and bustle is directly outside. We booked the cheapest room and it was beautiful, and very spacious. The terrace views were amazing too. Very friendly... More

+ magnificent rooftop terrace (the best amongst the many terraces in fes!) + comfortable and lovely designed rooms (we can recommend the one next to the terrace) + lovely family who runs the riad, very helpful and decent + superb breakfast with a great variety of food - breakfast could not be served at the terrace and bathrooms could be... Couldn't have asked for better. Prime spot in the middle of the market, excellent breakfast, great view from the roof, and ornate, spacious rooms with no sings of any bugs. The only negative is that sounds are easily echoed into the main community area, so you need to keep decently quiet.

Fes is a fascinating and exciting city that transports you back in time. Riad Hala not only embodies these traits but offers a spectacular respite from the craziness just outside its door. The hosts made sure we were well looked after, such as walking us from the taxi drop off and asking the waiter at a local restaurant to help... More

The Riad is located very near to the Blue Gate and another entrance call Batha by the Post Office where the taxi stands are located. Both are 5-10 minutes walk. Restaurant La Chamean Bleu is nearest to the Riad, just walk out the Riad go left and then the next left. The sea food was good and very reasonable. The... More

We were in Morocco for 10 days staying 2 nights here. By far, it is the best place we have stayed. The room was spacious, the common area was light and beautifully tiled and decorated, and the proprietors were open and friendly. It is in a perfect location down a short alleyway off the main thoroughfare (as Fez's many, many... More

We found this hotel by walking the city and we are so happy we did! We are on our honeymoon and manage hotels in the US. Riad Hala has it figured out. The room was beautiful, the dinner (order in the morning) was incredible, and the views from the rooftop terrace are sublime. WiFi is strong, the breakfast more than... More

This wonderful riad is literally a hole in a wall right in the heart of the old medina. As we walked through the old medina, following our porter, we thought we were walking back in time through the medieval ages. And then, we walked into an alley and entered this hole. Then, the beauty and grandeur of the riad hit... More
