What a lovely hotel. Great atmosphere in public spaces. Truly remarkable. Rooms are ok, though a bit of faded glory. Staff is helpful and polite. Good location as well. The biggest drawback, as other reviewers have noted, is the pounding nightclub that starts up around 11 pm and goes to 4 am. Get a room as far away from this... More

This hotel is not for families or high standart seekers. If you are alone or with friends, this hotel may suit you. price; is low service; is avarage security; I did not have any problem but I have never left a valuable stuff at room (like electronic..) location; is avarage (5 min. to taxi, 3min & 10 min to tramvay... Stay away it is terrible. Reason for my comment 1 Plumbing in bathroom was broken and waste water went all over the room 2 Reception staff can barley speak English and are stand-offish and insolent 3 No toilet paper in Restaurant toilet anywhere, but staff delivered a handful of serviettes to the dinner table after I went up to my... Grandly decorated but very rundown. The room was large and nicely decorated but few of the power points worked, most of the lights didn't work and the toilet required careful management. The towels in the dingy, dirty bathroom were grey and raggedy much like the rest of the hotel. The reception staff spoke good English and were helpful and friendly but most... More

Recently (mid June 2013) stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I am sure there has been no maintenance since it was built in 1922. Dirty, staff rude, scam with the associated bar/nightclub (was locked in until I tipped the doorman) Steer clear of this one.

I stayed in this hotel one night in April 2013 on a Peregrine trip to Morocco. The hotel was certainly a faded glory but the lack of maintenance might have been forgiven if it had been clean. The breakfast was poor and there was no table at which I could sit as every table cloth had greasy stains on it... More

My wife and I spent one night there at the start of a Peregrine Adventures tour in Morocco. I can only presume they got a cheap deal on the place. Well, let's be frank here, this place is the pits. It stinks like a dirty ashtray, the rooms are run down and in desperate need of work, and to cap... More

Stayed 2 nights before an organised tour of Morocco. The hotel is in a good location being only a few minutes walk from Place Mohammed V and a number of very good cafes and restaurants. The hotel was built in the 1920s and although retains much of its original character, appears to have had little maintenance in recent years. We... More
