I run my own birdwatching tour company called Wild Insights and for several years we have been visiting Morocco and staying at the totally delightful Jacaranda Hotel. The position of the Jacaranda coiuld not be better for birdwatching as it is only minutes form the internationally important Souss Estuary and also makes a perfect base for visitng such other sites... more

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the Jacaranda last week. The location is a 10 minute taxi ride from the beach and still costs about £4 each way although you can barter on this price. We purposely picked this hotel because of it's more remote and quiet location and were not disappointed. The gardens are very well maintained, are... more

What a fantastic hotel! immaculate rooms and lovely gardens, fantastic staff can`t do enough.Bit far from town but it is only 4 quid in a taxi(make sure you barter before you get in). Only had the breakfast there which was just toast and coffee, you have to pay for anything else but it was only a quid for a boiled egg so... more

We stayed there for 2 weeks in December 2008. The hotel was absolutely fantastic. The staff were especially lovely, extremely friendly and very helpful. They all were able to speak many different languages ( French, English and Deutsh). The reception and restaurant staff are absolutely brilliant , nothing is too much trouble for them. Food was wonderful, freshly cooked, so much... more

Well, to begin with, please take a note that the hotel is located - really! by the local cemetery and away from tourist areas, city of Agadir and the beach. So if you are looking for A LOT of local flavour - surroundings full of rubbish, no walking road, half rouined houses around and local people only - this is... more

A truly beautiful garden, warm, attentive but unobtrusive staff - fantastic pools both indoor and outdoor - solar powered and environmentally friendly, a beautiful hotel, within walking distance to the Medina D'Agadir - fine restaurant, the proprietress a genuine character - Enjoy your stay! more

I traveled to the hotel Jacarranda from Marrakesh for an initial four night stay.I found that the rooms were of a 4 star standard and I found no problems with hoards of ants,as the last reviewer had!.In the hotel itself I found the staff to be very friendly, with good room service(Sheets changed daily, clothes hung up,bathroom cleaned). The owner of the... more

I booked this hotel because of the reviews in tripadvisor and it is the first time I have found the reviews to be unreliable. Certainly the hotel owner and staff are very pleasant, but the hotel itself is in desperate need of modernisation, the room was musty and depressing, with a ceiling fan but no air conditioning, the bed was... more

We stayed at the Jacaranda for 2 weeks in July. The staff were very attentive and the hotel was kept immaculate. The hotel was extremely quiet when we stayed there due to the hotel owner (Madam) not advertising in brochures and the competetiveness of internet sites. Our bath towels and bed sheets were cleaned every day which was very impressive... more

My husband and I are just back from spending a very relaxing week in Agadir on our honeymoon. The Jacaranda is advertised as a 4* hotel, however so long as you realise that 4* in Agadir is not the same as 4* in the UK then you are fine. The Hotel itself is situated away from the hustle and bustle... more
