I stayed over for a few days. Almost everything is great but even though it is well located for the awesome view and within walking distance of the downtown area (20-30 minutes) , it is nowhere near another breakfast restaurant and you will end up paying 35$ for a breakfast buffet that is not so great. There are no kettles... More

Whenever I'm in Algiers I go there, great view on Algiers bay, the rooms are really big and comfy and the service is really good. They have also a terrific apple pie at the small coffee place on the main floor :)

Excellent choice of hotel for business stay. A choice of restaurants and comfortable rooms. During my stay there was a delegation from many African governments staying at the hotel so security was excellent. The restaurant on the ground floor is very dated and needs a good chef. The food at night was buffet style but there were no labels naming... More

As I native of downtown Algiers, I almost go to this hotel at least 2 to 3 times a week. What I am sharing here is not one time experience but from many experiences. It's mainly related to the service, the service there is so,so,so poor, once the waiter at the terrace almost cursed us because we came half an... More

i was in this hotel back in 2008, it seems like they have done complete rehabilitation works, before that time it looked very outdated futuristic (bright orange colors and 80's style futuristic ornaments were used everywhere). i remember it as a descent hotel for business trips, i just always woke up early in the morning because of the nearby Mosque... Honestly, the hotel is nice and well located but 5 stars? Hell no! It would deserve 3 at best. The service is terrible, the food is bad and it's way too pricey. I paid something like 2700 Dinars for a burger (27 euros more or less). Now I don't mind more for food if it's good but you would get... More

The Aurassi completed its rehabilitation works! Of course the building's still a big concrete block, and the stay there is still overpriced, but now the rooms are neat, and I found the staff rather friendly. It's a good idea to pack some ear plugs because of ventilation noise from outside.

This hotel has been refurbished to a good standard loved having separate toilet from the shower room (both with their own sink). Slight problem with the shower spraying water everywhere soaking the floor. Beds and bedlinnen as big and comfy as a Vegas hotel. We booked a garden view and was pleasantly surprised to see the port from our balcony... More

I tend not to judge a place on a one-time experience…unfortunately, this is the second time I have stayed at ‘El Aurassi’, and I felt compelled to let people know a few things about this place. The first time staying was a new experience for me. It was my first time in Algeria, and it was for business. Given that... More
