My husband and I used this hotel as a stop over before travelling to other areas. It is a clean and fairly well presented hotel. Reception were informative and there was good WiFi. Sadly as in Ramadan restaurant was not fully functioning, room service was offered as an alternative for breakfast. This was small and the coffee Luke warm.

Stayed 5 nights at this hotel. Staff friendly, rooms have hot water, but check bathroom to make sure shower not broken and toilet seat in place when you are assigned a room. TV only has Arabic and French language stations. Free bottle of water daily. Air conditioning in rooms. Standard breakfast of coffee/tea, croissants and bread, jam, yoghurt, hard boiled... More

Worth a visit to experience using the lift (c1920) & admire the AD mirrors on the landings. Hot water, so nice relaxing bath.Water & fruit juice in the fridge.Extra blankets brought up on request.Free petit dejeuner but coffee not so good. Shifty looking characters in the Salon du The....best avoided..

Stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable and centrally situated. Breakfast was continental and not very good. Staff were friendly and efficient although reception was a bit stand offish. Would stay here again as prices were reasonable for Algiers, with some cheap restaurants nearby.

This is well-known and popular hotel in capitol, located in bussiness district. Some part of hotel is renowated, but you have to pay extra to get room in new part. God option is to take room withview to sea. This hotel isn't something really special but it is enough to normal stay in Algiers

I've been at SAFIR hotel for two nights. It seems last investment in this hotel was made by Frenchs before Independence war. Breakfast not poor, terrible. Only it is well located. Probably 40 or 50 years ago it has been a good hotel.

There is no question that Algiers is a city that offers hotels that are very overpriced for their standards. But in a country where tourism is low priority and the nearly only industries are oil and natural gas, the incentive to provide more is not a strong incentive. Finding a hotel with character in the heart of the city is... More

We have spent four nights in this four star hotel!!! It was awful. We could not wait to checkout. The breakfast was so bad. A guard was watching you all the time what you are choosing. Actually there were not so many things to choose, Just coffee, a piece of cake. The elevator was prehistoric. The room was dirty and... More
