I stayed there for three nights during May 2015, travelling for business. Staff are indifferent and show no intention to provide a quality service. Cleaners try to get into the room without knocking first-there are no "Do not disturb" signs on the doors. Bed was very uncomfortable with a very hard mattress. Bathroom and fixtures old. Carpets throughout the hotel... More

This hotel is in a great location near the corniche but the rooms are not so good for the price (12,000 DZD for a single room). Earplugs are essential if you want to have any chance of a decent sleep (mainly noise from traffic, but also from neighbours if you are unlucky). Cigarette smoke can also be a problem. Breakfast... I stayed at Safir Hotel for 1 week. Everything old and dirty. I stayed because there wasnt any vacancy around algiers for those days. Breakfast service is not good. No plates no folk! Building is very old. Architecture is very nice but they hadnt taken care of it!

this hotel offers large rooms and ( eventually ) everything works.Eventually,I say,as the heating wouldnt work and we had to change rooms on both of our visits.Ditto tv and no english channels ( which we did occasionally get in other hotels ) No hot water on second visit. The breakfast is a joke.Stale bread and jam.Not even small cheese spreads which... My husband and I used this hotel as a stop over before travelling to other areas. It is a clean and fairly well presented hotel. Reception were informative and there was good WiFi. Sadly as in Ramadan restaurant was not fully functioning, room service was offered as an alternative for breakfast. This was small and the coffee Luke warm.

Stayed 5 nights at this hotel. Staff friendly, rooms have hot water, but check bathroom to make sure shower not broken and toilet seat in place when you are assigned a room. TV only has Arabic and French language stations. Free bottle of water daily. Air conditioning in rooms. Standard breakfast of coffee/tea, croissants and bread, jam, yoghurt, hard boiled... More

Worth a visit to experience using the lift (c1920) & admire the AD mirrors on the landings. Hot water, so nice relaxing bath.Water & fruit juice in the fridge.Extra blankets brought up on request.Free petit dejeuner but coffee not so good. Shifty looking characters in the Salon du The....best avoided..

Let us think positive, if you are lucky you may get a good inalienable on he free wi fi. No television working but after neighbour from hell with tv blaring no bad hing, free bottle of water. Very central position, views over Algiers harbour. I slept we'll each night. Tired worn out Art Deco hotel which was once I should... More

Stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable and centrally situated. Breakfast was continental and not very good. Staff were friendly and efficient although reception was a bit stand offish. Would stay here again as prices were reasonable for Algiers, with some cheap restaurants nearby.
