Is normal hotel, clean, but above all there is an excellent reception desk. Also it is situated in central located downtown. Is very safe is next to the police station. It is situated in a off street from the main road. The main road is full of shops and restaurants . I was marvel by the number of shops and... More

Algiers can be a tricky place to find a drink on a Friday night. Hotel Suisse, however, has a bar on the lobby level which technically is only available to in house guests. But if you smile and ask nicely they may just let you in. Selection of alcohol is fairly limited and seems to be confined to spirits, but... More

The best thing I can say about this hotel was its location. Centrally located downtown, you were able to catch the subway, walk or find a taxi without any difficulty to get to the various parts of Algiers. The hotel itself certainly is old, smoky, and in great need for a facelift. The staff is wonderful and the morning breakfast... More

Algiers is a dump. If you have to travel to it choose a hotel near the airport. I could fill a page with what is wrong with this so called 3 star hotel but a description of my toilet will suffice. 1 - washhand basin was hanging off the wall 2 - it had no plug 3 - the floor... More

The hotel is old, rooms are big but only with the basics, no aircon, no shower (just bath) but clean. The staff will help you with whatever you need. And the location is so great you'll find everything you need just walking down the street. The area is super safe and the hotel is in the same street as the... More

I have chosen many times this 3-stars hotel of Algiers city for following reasons: 1. Its very good location - between boulevards Didouche Mourad and Mohamed V-th, near the buildings of the University of Algiers and a new metro station, in the midtown of Algiers (not far from Grande Poste and Algiers Harbour) 2. Its easy accessibility by foot and... More

This hotel is in the European quarter. It offered reservation confirmation for my visa and within walking distance of all sights. The staff were very first class and even sorted out a casbah tour with a guide who I think was from the hotel. He was a genuine, decent fellow as was everyone else I encountered in Algeria. This for... More

I stayed for 6 days. The weather had just unexpectedly turned cold, which meant the hotel was cold for the first could of days until they got the heating running. The first thing to say is that this is a very old hotel, dating back to the French colonial time. It has not changed much since then. If you like... More

This hotel well situated in the heart of Algiers gives you all the comfort you need from breakfast to lunch and diner with Algerian and other dishes. The rooms are specious with air-co, TV and wireless internet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The inconvenient issue is that it can be sometimes noisy as there are ongoing works in the... More

hotel suisse is a small hotel well located in the city centre of algiers. its staff is friendly, the rooms are ok (size, cleanliness) though things are generally not in very good shape (curtains, cupboards, tv, etc.). wifi is for free and is quite fast. the surroundings can be noisy because of traffic and mosques around. breakfast is good, so...
