We stayed here four nights last week. Easy place to find. They are renovating and the place is looking good. Breakfast is good in the am, and the area to east it in is nicely organized and the tables and chairs are in good shape. Our room faced the pool, and there was noise and a bit of light from... More

I found myself traveling through Ames, IA. Had some business in a nearby town very early in the morning before I flew out of DSM. Went to the hotel area off of highway 30 and Interstate 35. There was not a room to be found due to some local events. Finally drove through town and saw this place. Luckily they... More

We were INCREDIBLY disappointed in this hotel! The information doesn't tell you that the pool is only 3 ft deep in the deepest part. Plus, it was cold and smelled like pee! The courtyard around it was beautiful but the pool was a disaster!! We also tried to call the front desk to get more towels and blankets(only three towels... More

This is a very nice hotel however the pool is very cold. We were very excited about having a room so close to the pool so that was somewhat of a letdown. It would also be nice if this hotel had a spa however I don't think there is a spot for one. The rooms are nice I love to... More

Most of the rooms face out to the pool. Do not get one of these rooms! At 4:45 the staff starts clanging around to set up the continental breakfast and making as much noise as they possibly can. This area is adjacent to the pool. For over an hour until just before 6am the noise and their talking had to... More

I stayed at the Quality Inn in Ames IA in November 2012. They have just done a remodel of their facility. I enjoyed my stay. I had a clean comfortable room on the second floor that was quite even though it overlooked the pool. I did stay Monday through Thursday however so no overcrowded pool on the weekend. The breakfast... More

Stayed here for three nights. King room, fridge, micro. Overlooked the pool, but didn't hear too much noise. We were directly over the breakfast area, and there wasn't much bleed. Nice room, clean, well- appointed, very comfortable. Noticeable new updates since our last visit..very welcome and needed! The worst part was the door slamming. We were in an area with... More

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and one thing I will say is that the front desk staff is ALWAYS courteous and helpful. They seem to be in the process of upgrading their rooms, such as new bedding, bedroom furniture, and HD flat panel TV's, and bathrooms. But I have not seen any rooms fully renovated. My bed... More

Terrible hotel. Third floor where we stayed reeked of cigarette smoke, enough where a guy had to put a towel down at the foot of the door, to keep the smell out of the room. Turned on the room heater, as it was a cold night, which must have scorched the dust residing in the heater, which in turn, set... More
