The worst stay of my life! The room smelled like old laundry,found roaches/bugs in my bed and in the bathroom. If that was not enough the milk the next morning was sour that I used in may breakfast cereal....Stay clear of this dump!!!! more

Had a great stay at the Ames Heartland Inn this month. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable - beds were GREAT!! Cookies and popcorn at night were a treat! Definitely recommend staying at this hotel! more

We should have known when we entered the room. The moldy smell was incredible and was verified by the wall paper peeling from the walls and the almost squishy feel of the carpet. This hotel has the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a hotel! Entire hotel was very clean & comfortable with a staff that was really friendly. The breakfast has a huge variety of items. Great place to stay! more

Heartland Inn claims to have pillow top mattresses, my room had a bed I would call Plywood top. It was not a pillow top, it was the hardest bed I've ever slept on. I checked around for rates and ended up staying at the Heartland Inn. It was a lot nicer than I expected. The rooms had queen-sized beds instead of doubles, with pillow-top mattresses. Had a bad experience with Heartland Inn in the past but thought I would give them another try ... but twice is enough! It seems alittle on the dirty side with a musty/stale smell in the room.
