We have stayed here many times and I've always rated it very high. We've always enjoyed our stays here and we will come back again. However, this stay was not like the previous. The room (203) was a little disappointing. While all of the other rooms we've stayed in have been pristine, and comfortable, I really wasn't overwhelmed with it.... More

Stayed 11/5 in room 301 with the loft. We picked this B & B because of the proximity to ISU and from the past reviews on Trip Advisor. The room was filthy. The floors had so much debri everywhere including crushed gold fish crackers and hair that we immediately went back downstairs to ask the girl at the desk for... More

This is a former fraternity house converted to a bed/breakfast. The rooms were very nice, beds comfy, and the breakfasts delicious. There is a big open room where groups can gather, a big room with two tables for breakfast, and snacks/water out all day (chex mix, goldfish, fruit). We were able to walk everywhere on the ISU campus and to... More

I thought that I had made a hotel reservation for a stay in Ames, Iowa during the fall move-in. When I went to check two days before we were to leave, I found that I did not have a reservation and that what few rooms were left had higher than usual prices. We saw that there was one room left... The Iowa house looked like an intriguing option for lodging in Ames for our family visit. Indeed, we were delighted to spend four days there. It was close to the ISU campus and centrally located in Ames. The house looked and smelled fresh. The breakfasts were excellent - a different menu every day cooked to order. The rooms were charming.... More

My friend & I stayed here this past weekend & loved it! We had room 304 with the two beds that were very comfortable. Our windows looked out over the big locust tree in the yard, & we felt like we were in a tree-house! The whole place was decorated in a very comfortable and updated style: big leather couch... More

Very comfortable clean quiet room at Iowa house. Love the location close to campus to visit son. The free homemade breakfast was awesome! Will definitely be staying here again in the fall when we visit again.

We had rooms 101 & 102 for 3 nights for a family reunion. Closest lodging to campus. House has a nice big comfortable living room and a large room for watching TV in basement that our kids liked. Breakfast was good - usually eggs and toast. Our only minor issues were that these rooms were just outside the dining room,... More

This lovely historic house will be the only place I will stay when visiting my college student. It has a warm home-like feel with handsome oak mission style furniture, colorful quilts, and spacious clean rooms. I can't say enough good things about the absolutely delicious fresh-prepared breakfast and the chef was very accommodating and gracious. The people are very friendly.... More

My wife and I loved this place which once was a frat house for Iowa State University. We wish we could have stayed several nights. We arrived after driving for about thirteen hours from Texas on our way to the Twin Cities of Minnesota. The lady who greeted us and checked us in was charming and thorough. When we opened... More
