What a beautiful place to spend a few days away from the busyness of the cities! The accommodations are always fresh and clean. You can't get a hotel room suite with the same value for your money. It rained one of the mornings we were there, but the rooms were so quiet you could hardly hear the storm going on... More

We arrived about 4 in the afternoon to find no one home. There was no note on the door telling us we could go to our room so we walked around Amana for a half hour or so until the owner came home from work. This is a converted house and due to having to amend our trip days, we... More

This was my first experience with a b & b and I think it would be hard to top this one. The rooms were gorgeous and I loved the Jacuzzi tub!. The rate was very reasonable and it was so pleasant to have a porch looking out on a flower garden. Though the suite didn't have a refrigerator, there was... More

What an incredible place to stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Could not have found a better place to stay in the Amanas! The quiet and peaceful atmosphere was hard to leave. We would have stayed another month if we could! For a relaxing and affordable place to stay book the Village Guest Suite! There's a beautiful and scenic garden... More

Village Guest Suite is located in the Amana Colonies in Iowa. We had a small suite of two full rooms, another daybed in a small nook/hall and a bath with tub, but no shower. It was part of a larger suite that was joined to it by a locked door, so more room would have been available, if necessary, for... More

My husband and I have been visiting the Amanas every February for over ten decades; always staying at one of the chains by the interstate and "doing" the Colonies from there. The in-town lodgings always looked a little worn down and we were skeptical. After viewing interior photos of the Village Guest Suite and reading recent reviews, we decided to... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Village Guest Suite this December. We stayed on the suite on the first floor. The room was wonderfully decorated for the Christmas season, complete with Christmas tree. The living room had a fireplace (not a real one for obvious reasons, but it did provide heat), TV, and ample seating. The bed was comfortable and... More

The room was spacious and we enjoyed the space. We rented it for a great price because there was only a small bathtub that was very difficult to get into and out of. It would have been a much higher priced room except for no shower. It was quiet. Our room was upstairs. We opted to eat breakfast in town... More

My wife and her two sisters stayed here on a trip in Iowa. They had the whole upstairs to their selves, 5 bedrooms, but only needed two. Kitchen area also included. 2 bathrooms. Very very nicely decorated. They wished they had stayed more than one night, but their plans only permitted one night............this time. Very quiet area of town.

Stayed two nights in first floor suite... spacious and clean. There is a large sitting room with TV, nice chairs, fireplace, sofa, and small dining table. Bedroom is adequate size but has limited space for luggage and a very small closet. Bathroom is very nice with a jacuzzi tub. There was a hair drier and shampoo provided. Back garden patio... More
