We were actually very grateful to get in here after an appalling experience on the southside. Guess being from "out of town" we did not know the bad areas. So we only need a room to sleep in as we were down town during the day. First night no sleep due to extremely noisy guests. (don't known why some people... More

Never again will I check into a Motel 6. Musty smell upon entering. Dirty Vinyl flooring which was peeling and lifting. Broken window glass throughout back parking lot. Very low class and did not feel safe. When I told the clerk I could not stay because it was not acceptable she told me I couldn't get my money back because... More

It's pretty much what you would expect for a motel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I appreciated that it had no carpet. I was actually pretty impressed and surprised that the interior decorating was so modern, however, the TV was really dated (though I never used it so I wasn't really hurt about it). The only... I stayed here several times in the past 5 years or so, but my last visit was so disappointing that I will not stay here again... Sad because it's a good location for my trips to Chicago. Made my room reservation in advance and room not ready when I got there way after check in time. I told them I... More

Don't even know where to begin. The General Manager is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered, very rude and unable to professionally maintain his responsibilities. Gave us a hard time when staying out of town with my husband's business card. Took the company card 4 times in a week and rejected the card twice because the... More

This " chain " Motel 6 is one of those properties that would put a well known company out of business . They claim in their ad that these are " modern " rooms . I had more modern furnishings in my room when I was in college ... 34 yrs ago ! There are local police signs all over... More

I agree with most other reviews here about this motel. If you've stayed at a Motel 6 before, you probably know what to expect. There's not a lot more I can add except I wonder if there's such thing as a non-smoking room here. When I arrived, the motel definitely wasn't full, but I was clearly placed in a smoking... More

PLUS: Comfortable beds, very clean, competent front desk, remodeled (new) shower and sink. MINUS: Sketchy wifi for $2.99/day, road noise from the busy street, no complimentary breakfast, no fridge or microwave. CONCLUSION: By far the least expensive place to stay. Certainly acceptable for a short stay

I agree with a reviewer who said this is an inexpensive hotel and thus your expectations needs to be considered accordingly. Having said that, I had made a reservation for a King room, which later on found out no such thing existed in this hotel, and got a handicapped room (we are not handicapped!) with a bed 5 feet wide,... My wife and I, along with our two cats, stayed at the Motel 6 in Aurora, Illinois recently while returning from a trip to Georgia. We stayed in several Motel 6 properties on this trip as they have recently advertised their pet-friendly policies. Nothing about the motel stands out as being above average or exceptional except that, as one would... More
