Let me just say up front, overall the property was very average. This property would have received a positive review had it not been for the odor in my room (Room 214). I walked into Room 214. The room was very cold; the A/C was set at 68 degrees. I turned up the temperature to 76; so the A/C simply... More

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past over the years. this time we arrived to find old carpet buckled to the point where you could trip on it, wallpaper peeling off the walls, terrible service at the desk, our TV didn't work waited all day for it and come to find out they had let TV... I am truly sorry for the condition of your room. We are planning some upgrades in the near future including wallpaper and carpet. The television malfunction was out of our control. Charter cable had to come to repair the problem. I am perfectly comfortable with these professional technicians being in our guest rooms unattended. While my desk clerk did accompany... More

I just left an over night stay at the Atrium in Alton...I requested an 3rd floor room. They gave me one over the pool which was bad because so muppppch screaming it sounded like it was in my room..So after my request the room switched and it was better..They advertise free hot or cold breakfast and was going to charge... This was a fairly standard Comfort Inn, but the front desk staff (especially Joanna when I checked in) were great and gave me excellent directions to the attractions I wanted to visit. Even the housekeeping person who passed me in the hall asked if everything were OK. It was because of the staff I gave the property a very good... More

Nothing fancy, but clean and reasonable. Bathroom wasn't in great shape. Beds and room were ok. Location was nice. Was next to elevator but was not loud at all. Breakfast area a little too small, but breakfast wasn't bad. Staff seems a bit on the small side (over worked) but very friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was chalked full of enemities and extremely clean, no musky odors. The staff there were so nice and funny...they went out of their way to help me find all the haunted locations that I was looking for. We stayed 2 nights and had some strange occurrences happen in our hotel room.... More

I had 3 different rooms booked that this hotel. Two non-smoking rooms were booked about 3 months ago and when I booked the third room, all that was left was a smoking room. So, I took a clean air machine with me along with 2 cans of Febreze and a Febreze plug in. I'm sorry to say that the room... More

We were given a room that the tv did not work in. The staff resolved the issue quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything needed was there: microwave and refrigerator, flat screen tv. The Wi Fi left a lot to be desired, however. The connection didn't even come up on my tablet. I was later able to get on,... More

As soon as I walked into the hallway the hotel reaked of smoke odors. Hotel room is nice but as soon as you walk in it smells like air freshener. Unfortunately you get used to it. For a family it is not the best hotel.
