My husband and I have never stayed at a B&B before. My husband decided to surprise me, for our Anniversary, and took me on an overnight stay at the Beall Mansion. As soon as we walked in the door we were impressed with the beautiful original woodwork, furnishings and of course our host...Jim. Jim was very hospitable and knowledgeable about... more

This is a must see tour if you are in the Alton area! Much history is in this beautiful mansion and is told by the gracious Butler. The guest rooms are wonderfully appointed and you could spend days looking at all the beautiful antiques in this home. You won't regret spending the time for a tour or an overnight. more

For starters the mansion itself is beautiful, with plenty of history to be shared. My fiance arrived in the late evening,at last notice and they were able to get a massage therapist to come to the mansion exclusively for us. The bed was sleeping on heaven. The gourmet breakfast in bed was as gorgeous as it was tasty, and Jim and... more

The two weeks i stayed at Beall Mansion introduced me to a wonderful and unique atmosphere. I like the way the rooms are furnished while there, I lived like a king and woke up with great expectation and inspiration. I really appreciate the hospitality you showed me while i was there. The day starts with a delicious breakfast without any... more

My fiancee proposed to me at the Beall Mansion on a surprise getaway from our home in Chicago. There are no words to express how amazed I was with the mansion as well as Jim and Sandy's hospitality. They take such amazing pride in their home. Their attention to detail is impressive to say the least. They made sure we... more

This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and our 18th wedding anniversary, so I did my research looking for the perfect place. Based on our experience at the Beall Mansion, I didn't go wrong. After reviewing the photos on their website, I chose the ZB Job room and it was very special. We enjoyed the whirlpool tub,... more

My husband and I stayed at the Beall Mansion for our 18th Anniversary. We chose to stay in the "Anniversary" room with a King-size bed and large bathroom with 2 person whirlpoop tub.(There was another King room that was equally gorgeous!) When you arrive you are greated and shown around the downstairs of the Mansion which is extremely lovely and... more

We loved the area the property was in and the house as obviously had a lot spent on it to create the perfect effect of when it was built. Both Jim and Sandy were very friendly and even helped carry the luggage which was greatly appreciated. If we had one comment is that I know that other breakfast options exist... more
