You are in the middle of wine country, and there are a lot of outdoor activities going on in the area. Check out the Giant City Lodge for dinner one night. I agree with a previous writer regarding the fireplace. I felt discouraged from using it when sending an email about getting wood for it, and was directed to the... More

We stayed two nights in Cabin 2. The view is great and so is the location. As mentioned in other reviews, lots of wineries, great scenery and lots of outdoor activities. The cabin was clean and the beds comfortable. My only problem was the cabin's two level layout. There were two bedrooms, a bathroom and a combination living/dining area and... More

Found this place by accident really, but turned out to be a great weekend getaway! The locals were super friendly and helpful with making our trip memorable. Wineries in every direction and very close to the cabins. I think this is a great location for any age group or number of people. Will be making a second trip!

Excellent place to relax with stunning view. The cabins are very clean including 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens stocked with everything you need, flat screen TV's and great artwork decorating the entire cabin. Close to local wineries, orchards and hiking trails. Very quiet with the sounds of nature right out your door on the porch... More

We recently stayed in cabin #2 , and found the view to be wonderful. The cabin was very clean, and had three bedrooms, two on the top floor, and one downstiars. There is a full kitchen downstairs, and a kitchenette upstairs. The biggest problem was that there were five of us, and the dining area was set up for four... More

We had a wonderful time at Skyline View Cabins! We rented both cabins for 7 adults and 3 children, and had plenty of room. The grandchildren loved the wooden fenced sidewalk that runs between the cabins for tricycles, and we felt they were very safe. The cabins are super clean and beautifully decorated, and seem brand new. The landscaping is... More

Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids 14 and 17) stayed in cabin 1. Everyone agrees this is one of the best accomadations we have ever stayed in. Very clean, quiet and peaceful. We headed to southern IL to get away from all the noise and fast paced life of Chicago. We didn't hear a sound, only the... More

My husband and I have stayed at a lot of bed and breakfast, resorts and cabins. The price is great for all the amenities this offers. I am sure it is beautiful in the fall! I enjoyed all of the art work as well. By the way, Jan, my husband and I have started a hobby from your idea hanging... More

My husband and I wanted to spend a few days on the wine trail so I decided to rent a cabin in the area instead of going the hotel route. I am SO GLAD I did. We stayed in Cabin 1 and it was exactly what I was looking for. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds (5 total but 2 being... More

I went with friends to celebrate a bachelorette party. We decided we wanted to visit the wineries and found this the perfect location. It was so nice to come back to the cabin after visiting the wineries and relax on the deck and sit in the hot tub and visit with friends. The beds were superbly comfortable and the cabin... More
