Nice place overall and in a good location. I upgraded to a suite and was well worth the extra money with seperate rooms and a hottub. Updated rooms with flat screen TV's with digital cable and HBO channels. Bedding was comfortable and nice pillow selection. Living room was large with nice couch, chair, tables and a wet bar with sink... more

This is one of two hotels in Augusta I stay in. The people are great, the bartenders are really nice and I usually just get dinner in there since I don't like eating alone. The hotel has a huge entry and loads of places to meet clients. The rooms are newly removed and have all the things that make it... more

Reading some past reviews I was scared to stay here but the place is A-OK. Typical Doubletree, rooms are up to date with comfortable beds, flat screen TV, wireless etc. Bathroom is small but very modern with tile and large wood vanity. Ftiness center has 2 elipticals, 2 tredmills, bike and free weights. Locations is not good, right on the... more

We stayed at the Doubletree because there was a convention in town and the hotel choices were slim. It is in a difficult to get to location due to construction. Pro's - Plenty of parking. Well-lighted lot. Staff is friendly. Cons -- Interior of the hotel (from the 1980's lobby to the rickety elevators to the dingy rooms) is in... more

I stayed here for 16 nights for a business trip and was underwhelmed by the property. This was my first stay at a Doubletree and probably won't be my last, but I have to say that they need to make some changes to several areas. I am sure that one of the new managers, Lina, will be an asset to... more

We have stayed in the Doubletree two times with two small children, and we have fallen in love with this hotel! Each time we have booked a jr. suite (seperated bedroom with pullout sofa in "parlor"). Our boys love the warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival - and available anytime at the front desk -, the indoor waterfall and glassed... more

The room was clean; the coffee was very good; can't beat the location but the food is inedible. The staff means well but they just can't get it right. more

This is a great rate for an above average hotel in a town with a lot of below average motels. Wonderful, clean rooms, friendly staff, free internet access in the rooms. Everything you would hope for from this chain. I had 3 small complains: room service forgot an item from my order (but they were super-fast!), the hot water was... more
