Stayed for 2 nights while in Augusta for a conference at the hotel, pre-booked with a conference rate. Marriott airport shuttle: I called the day before I flew into town to get a seat on the Marriott shuttle. The girl on the phone didn't give me a time but I had given her my flight #. After I got off... more

I read through some of the reviews and I have to say there are many that are overly critical of this very nice hotel. That having been said, I stayed on the suites side so I cannot speak to the quality of rooms on the hotel side. Our room was very clean and the beds were also very comfortable. T.V.... more

We stayed for the Masters and the property was fine, but not up to Marriott standards. The hotel seemed dated and the beds were not very comfortable. That being said, we didn't run into any of the sanitary problems other posters have reported. The front desk staff was polite but not the cordial, friendly staff you might expect at a... more

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. First they gave me room #1114, which had un-ironed sheets and when I went to take a closer look, I saw insects walking on the sheets. I notified the hotel, they changed my room. But in this room (1106) the sheets were not ironed either. I saw the person who... more

While this hotel is very nice, the billing department needs to be fired! Both times I have stayed there I had hundreds of dollars worth of fake charges on my credit card that I have had to call in a dispute. For a first class hotel like this to not have the simple billing procedure correct is ridiculous. I will... more

We recently spent one night at the Marriott after reading the TripAdvisor reviews and were very pleased. Check-in was speedy and the rooms we requested with connecting doors was exactly what we had asked for (1 king, 2 doubles). Very clean room and bathroom and the beds were awesome! Down comforters were very cozy (it was pretty cold while we... more

This is the second time staying at this hotel. The first experience I had they did not change the bed sheets from the previous visitors...I gave it a second shot and wanted to make sure my sheets were changed.. I left a tip for the lady in my bedsheets...never moved a bit..next day put a mark on the sheets with... more

I have stayed at this property a few times in the last 4 years, and I had a decent impression of the property. It appears that they have remodeled since my last visit and added on a Marriott Suites building to the regular Marriott. The main hotel is older but in decent condition. As with many older hotels, the carpets... more

I wanted to come to Augusta simply because I am a golfer and I was in Atlanta so ...why not? I did want to stay at the Partridge Inn but it was full so then I chose the Marriott in downtown Augusta. This hotel has a magnificent lobby, with a beautiful staircase. It looked all well and good but the... more

We stayed on the 8th floor, which we had a room overlooking the levee for the Savannah River, and it was wonderful! The hotel staff was very pleasant and easy to work with, the grounds were well kept, and parking was a breeze. The room was well adorned and had a higher-class feel to it. I think we got a... more
