Location of this Inn had me worried that it might not be up to par but to my surpise despite the location it was really nice. Our room was clean and super comfortable. Upgraded to granite counter top and the shower had the curved shower bar. Smelled and was clean. We did not take the opportunity to take advantage of... more

I am very, very picky about hotels and travel several times a month for business. Was a last minute decision, family weekend/swim meet in Augusta and found out we had to swim on Friday night. I booked the hotel quickly and read Trip Advisor. I too was a little worried about outside access and it appeared that this was an... more

Had a great stay! The hotel is a bit older but the staff make up for it. I stayed here only one night but surely would have enjoyed a longer stay. Rooms: a bit worn especially the bathroom but the beds were very comfortable. Room was very clean . Breakfast bar: Was great!! Hot foods and anything you could possibly... more

We stayed at the Hampton the week before the Master's. The staff, I can't say enough, they brought towels to our room, complimentary shaving cream. The ladies at the front desk, were knowlegeable about the community and restaurants. We loved the Hampton and hated to leave! We would stay again in a milli-second. Best hotel on the strip. The complimentary... more

My wife and I stayed at this Hampton Inn for two nights at Christmas. While rooms that open to the outside are not our preference, the hotel more than made up for this shortcoming in every other respect. The room was clean and comfortable. It looked like it had been recently updated. The staff left a jar of chocolate truffles... more

I am a Diamond-level Hilton member, and stay in 20 Hamptons a year across the country. I, too, harbor negative connotations about exterior-room Hamptons - but my experience here was far superior than most interior-corridor Hamptons. Indeed, Hilton management should come here to see how to properly run a Hampton. Every member of the staff with whom I communicated (housekeeping,... more

The other reviewers may have had bad experiences, but as of december 15, 2005 the hotel is not the best but is far from the worst.I hate to see people put down a hotel and it isn't that bad. So, what if you see a cockroach (which probably isn't true because i havent seen any) it's not like you dont... more

The outside of this hotel (motel in my opinion) appears worn down and dirty. The room doors open to the outside instead of into an indoor hallway. Once inside, I was overwhelmed by a strong musty smell that they were attempting to cover up with a strong public restroom-like air freshener. The bathroom walls were filthy and the floor sticky.... more

Ok, I just completed a 4 night stay here. When I first drove up to it at night and saw it had outside corridors, I developed a less then enthusiastic feeling. This is the older and perhaps original style Hampton Inn and it really doesn't look nice from the outside. But as the saying goes, you can't judge a book... more
