This past saturday we stayed at a scottish inns in Sparta,Wi. The rate was $40.00 for a 2 bed room. The room was supposed to be non smoking, but had an obvious smoke odor. When you leave the next morning and your clothes smell like smoke, it is a let down. One of the pillow cases had what looked like a cigarette burn hole in it. The room was not real clean. On a shelf above the coat rack we observed what looked like bird seed covering the shelf. The window locks were missing some screws, so the windows would not lock properly. I would think that if a business like a motel would like to stay in business, it would be kept up to certain standards. I think the price for this quality is not a value. I also noticed that in a motel like this, you only have one fire escape route. Is this an issue? Please reply. Thank you. Scott Preuss. more
