Hotel Humuya is easily my favorite hotel in Tegucigalpa for a whole host of reasons. First, the staff is absolutely wonderful. Most days we were helped by either Juan Carlos or Henry. Both of these men went above and beyond to help us get restaurant reservations, directions, and recommended things in the city. The staff made our stay wonderful and... More

This was our first stay at the Humuya Inn. The only problem was that is was a bit hard to find and get to even for a native Honduran. Even so, the staff were friendly, management in particular were friendly, spoke English well, were ready to help with any request we made. If you want a Latin or Honduran experience,... More

The hotel was beautiful and the view of the city from the roof top was breathtaking. The Staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Juan Carlos always met us with a smile and took care of our every need.

We have taken mission teams to stay at the Humuya Inn for several years now but I never took time to write a review. I can't say enough about the excellent service, the friendly staff and the first class accommodations. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal as well as ordering off the menu and the breakfast is quite a spread.... More

We experienced delays in arriving to the Inn. Juan Carlos remained in constant contact with us to arrange a late night arrival, had safe transportation waiting for us and even kept the kitchen open for us to eat after our long journey. His problem solving service was a breath of fresh air. The ambiance of the Inn is also unique... More

My stay here was incredible. The Humuya Inn has a very Latin American aura the moment you enter, a feel that balances a fresh indoor and canopied-outdoor environment. Amazing food, service, hospitality and warmth- the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We all slept so well in the comfortable beds and relished in this peaceful environment. I've stayed in quaint... More

Dear Guest, At the Humuya Inn we are always excited to read new adjectives used to describe our establishment! Our structural design was that of a Historical Spanish Hacienda combined with modern comforts. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and give our future guests a vivid picture of what to expect. We hope this is not... More

I have now stayed at the Humuya six times in the last five years. I walk in feeling at home and secure, and feel like I am outside in a tropical paradise while I'm still in the lobby. #1 Business Hotel in Tegucigalpa #1 Family Hotel in Tegucigalpa
Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At last - a rare hotel in the Honduran capital that gives reviewers a chance to gush. It's a triumph for good taste, both in the well-appointed guest rooms and long-stay apartments, all set in a quiet residential neighborhood.Once a spacious Tegucigalpa home, this keeps the trappings of a comfortable family residence with the trimmings needed for modern business travel. It's a beacon of class and courteous service in Tegucigalpa. Rooms in the colonial-style house have been lovingly furnished in Honduran mahogany and decorated with striking Lencan pottery and photos of the country's charms. From the Italian ceramic floor tiles up to the vaulted ceiling, it creates an ambience where you're happy to dally - unsurprisingly, there are many long-term stays. The focal point is a lush patio where lychee and mango trees shade diners taking the complementary breakfast buffet. Climb to a fourth-floor terrace for a 360-degree panorama over Tegucigalpa's sloping sprawl. ... more   less
