We arrived on June 15 as part of a mission trip. At first I was a little put off by the location (didn't fit with the web photos) but the hospitality was great, the service was great, and the daily breakfast buffet was great. A/C also worked efficiently and quietly. There is no elevator service and we were all housed... More

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in May 2014. The hotel doesn't use local taxis for European guests. Instead they use a friend of the managers. This does ensure guest safety in the city but it does mean guests end up charging extra for his services. This is why it costs 300 Lempira to get to the Tica... More

The place was quite comfortable indeed. But the management was completely unable to provide any information to the customer about bus transport to Nicaragua. They didn't know which company goes to Leon and which does not. They did not even know that the Tica bus terminal had moved one year before from downtown to another place far away in the... More

We stayed one night in this hotel and were quite disappointed. The service was pretty good, but there were couple of things that ruined the whole stay. First of all, the pool wasn't in use at all. They had some kind of maintenance going on. Secondly, the restaurant was open only in the morning. We also felt cheated about our... More

This hotel had everything we needed for a brief stay in the capital. The staff were particularly helpful with advice on travelling to our next destination in Honduras. Room was comfortable and only drawback is the lack of a restaurant at the hotel and a very limited range of places nearby to eat in the evening.

stayed here for the first time last week. rooms were very clean. service was excellent. breakfast was great. and the view from the roof was just breath taking. i would stay here again. there aren`t any places for supper nearby, but we found that the little tienda around the corner has a beautiful courtyard and pretty good chicken tacos.

We spent 4 nights there recently, and we could not have been MORE pleased! The staff was friendly and quite professional, and the facilities left nothing to be desired - nice, clean rooms, plenty of hot water, good A/C and TV, a lovely pool and kids' play area, a cafeteria for breakfast (wish it had been open on Sunday also!),... This is a great place. It is super clean and very affordable. A group of us have stayed here every year at the beginning and end of our mission trip since 2002. No one has ever had a complaint. You can go up on the roof and see the city from above. There is a meeting room up there and... More

I have stayed here many times and MacArthur is a safe hotel to stay in. You will find secure parking at the rear of the hotel, a clean pool, good WIFI service and friendly staff. The meals are good value but you might like to check out other places nearby for main meals. The rooms are all pretty much the... More

I have stayed at the MacArthur at least six times over the last three years and it just keeps getting better. I usually am with a group of people from the US who are glad NOT to stay at a US chain hotel. When you are at the MacArthur, the experience is Honduran. It is clean, comfortable, friendly, has great... More
