I stayed here in January 2008 for the night while en route to Roatan. It was a spectacular stay here, especially for under $US 50 per night! Keep in mind I wasn’t looking to explore Tegucigalpa so I cannot comment on its proximity to any siteseeing or entertainment. If you’re looking for hot showers, a decent breakfast and top notch service, look no further than Hotel Linda Vista.

The hotel is located about 20 minutes from the airport. It even has cable TV with a large selection of channels. Tegucigalps is dirty and has a reputation for crime which is why I did not go out that night, but the hotel is surrounded with an iron fence with a security gate for people coming and going. Getting a bite to eat at night can be a problem though because the restaurants are located about 15 minutes walking distance into some seedy areas.
