We ended up staying here by accident after a delayed flight. It was recommended by the Lonely Planet and a private room was cheaper than the only two hostels in the city. Our hotel room was very clean and had everything that we needed. The hotel is much nicer inside than it looks like it would be from the street. I had to spend two nights in San Pedro after diving at Utila. The taxi drivers at the airport (300 Lemps to or from the airport) and at the bus station (100 Lemps from Hedman Alas) knew exactly where Hotel Real is so there was no confusion on directions. All the amenities you need. Very clean room. Had a great rest and break fast is included. All this for a very decent price compared to standard rates in San Pedro Sula.

My husband and I spent one night here. The room was nice, clean, the staff were very helpful and courteous. We felt very safe here. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. A mall is right next door, which was very convenient. The hotel provided a great shuttle service to and from the airport.

This place had all the amenities (good bed, drinking water, hot water, wifi, TV, small sitting area) and the front desk guys are very helpful and friendly. Hotel Real and San Pedro Sula share the same character: both are filthy, hot, loud and you don't feel secure. We were lucky to spend just one night in this hotel. Do not stay here. My credit cards were taken out of my LOCKED room and about 25 bucks was taken as well. They're all crooks and cover for each other.
