The staff are super friendly and helpful-One of the staff personally drove us to a place we could get dinner as we arrived late and he didn't want us... More

It was my first time traveling on the mainland in Honduras. I admit to being a little apprehensive at first. Chose La Hamaca on a whim and was so glad I did in the end. I walked in a solo gringo and after a few minutes of chatting with the staff and friends, felt like I had a new group... More

A western style hotel that knows what matters to a weary traveler: Quality Beds, clean rooms and a reasonable rate. There are great amenities like the workout area, the restaurant/bar, the staff but most of all we were super pleased to find really good beds at the end of a long trip. Wonderful and likely one of the best places... More

If you're in SPS this is the place to stay. Was in town doing some research and set up here as my home base. Very safe, clean accommodations, pool table, full gym and cold beer. It was advertised as "Colder than your ex's heart". Besides that one exaggeration - beer as cold as my ex's heart would shatter the bottle... More

I had just three days in San Pedro Sula and initially thought it might be too much. But after staying here and learning so much about the country and the city (and the plethora of activities and experiences available in the area) I wish I had spent much more time. This is a relatively new place owned and run by... More

I recently stayed at La Hamaca and had a positively awesome experience. The hostel covers all the basics -- very clean, safe, WiFi, etc. But beyond that, the hostel owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped get us to and from the hostel (including arranging pickup for us from the airport and bus stations, sending me a Google Calendar... More

On the plus side: Juan was very helpful and arranged pick-up ($5) at the bus station and spoke excellent english. The beer was cold. The bed was pretty comfortable, even if the room (a double with shared bath) was pricey by hostel standards: $33. On the negative side: supper was offered then at supper time we were told it wasn't... More

La Hamaca really feels like home away from home! The owners, Tesla and Juan Carlos (who by the way speak english very well) are incredibly sweet and helpful. They even took a lot of time to help us with our travel plans and their advice was invaluable! Juan Carlos told us about lots of great places to visit and how... More
