No water in the morning. Air conditioning broken. Bar tender too busy chatting with girl to serve you or answer questions. My female guest was forced to walk alone (without a security guard) in the dark down the 1/4 miles entrance from security. They treated her like a prostitute when she got here and refused to even serve her a... More

I first visited Copan and stayed at a great hotel, hotel Marina Copan. After driving all day here all I wanted was peace and quiet. The rooms that they have us was right across a bar with god awful club looking lights and music. Needless to say I could hear the music over my a/c and tv. I had to... More

Our first time in Honduras and traveling with 2 kids (8 & 12.) This part of the country is beautiful and the resort beautifully set within it. We stayed in the condos/houses portion as opposed to the all inclusive hotel, although it's all kind of mixed together. The first house that we were given did not have a working AC.... More

This place can either be a place where you can relax and enjoy or a place where you can party and have a great time. The staff is friendly. The location is away from the city but the view is beautiful with the mountiains. Beers are limited to national beers but hey, oh well. The tours provided are pretty neat... More

Hotel location is ok, close to Sambo Creek and the water park. BUt, honestly theres nothing GREAT about this hotel! Beach is nasty, dirty, kayaks smell, there's no water activities, drinks are limited to two national beers. Rooms are ok, service could be better!!! I would rather stay in Ceiba city and walk to the beach than pay what i... More

Our family had a great stay at one of the villas at Palma Real. There was a problem with our original villa (no AC, broken fridge and microwave), and although it was a very busy week, they fixed everything quickly, and then moved us into an upgraded villa as soon as they could for the rest of our stay. Very... More

Remember that you are in a 3rd world country. What does that mean? Not first class but first rate service. AC not working? Get a different room. Limited hot water? Tough it out by enjoying the beauty of this tropical location. Stayed here with a group of teens after a week long missions trip with NO amenities whatsoever. So this... More

Nice hotel, very clean, very friendly personnel. Amazing trips offered - my favourite were Canopy line over the jungle in the mountain, the hot springs and the boat trip to the islands. The food is simple, but always fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed local cooking.
