Barbara, the owner of Rainbow Village, not only designed, built and painted the village--she is also the cook and drives you to and from the airport! Very very friendly. The food was excellent and the staff was great. We were only passing through on our way from Guanaja to Costa Rica, and this was a great surprise on our honeymoon.

we were on our way from Germany to Guanaja, Barbara picked us up on the airport, only a quarter mile away from her quiet and safe hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Great food and very friendly service by Barbara and Sonny. For the future our first choice to stay over night in La Ceiba.

Rainbow village is a wonderfull hotel, like the name implicates, you feel at home as if it were a village. Barbara and Sonny do all they can to make your stay a pleasant one and even drop you off (for free and at any hour!) at the airport which is literally at 5 mins distance. All the cabins have a... My girlfriend and I had the pleasure to spend the night at this very nice hotel, close to the La Ceiba airport. We were on our way from Calgary to Utila for a dive trip, but arrived too late into La Ceiba to catch the last ferry, so we had to overnight in La Ceiba. We were met at the... More

Barbara runs a clean, quiet hotel and restaurant, only 2 blocks from La Ceiba airport (we walked over for lunch when we had 2 hour layover between flights). They will pick you up from airport if you give them notice, and will arrange shuttle to town/ferry. Great food, good prices.

La Ceiba is definitely the arm pit of Honduras. Poverty all around. Dirty streets, and crime everywhere. It's terrible. Rainbow Village is in La Ceiba. It's inside a 1/4 acre walled-in property. It's a cute place and the hostess is great. Barbara will do quite a bit to make sure you are comfortable. We were pleased. We stayed there for... More

What a great place to stay! Me and 4 of my friends traveled through La Ceiba to Utila and were very fortunate to find this hotel. I can't say enough nice things about our stay. Barbara, Sonny and Jurgen were great to chat with and very accommodating for all our needs (including rides to the airport and ferry to Utila).... More

This place is great for a quick stay. They are right next to the airport, and they will pick you up which makes things very easy. They also brought us to the ferry, also making things easier!! Cute place, HUGE rooms, good food. The people working here are very nice! I would stay here again for sure.

This hotel which is operated by a German offers super clean appartments, a swimming-pool, a pleasant restaurant with good food to reasonable prices, free pick-up from the airport which is only a five minute car drive away. They also offer a ride to the ferry to Utila and Roatan for a good price. The staff is very friendly -so if... More

A wonderful hotel close to the airport that offers transportation services. I had to stay an extra night due to luggage delays and found it very peaceful and restful. They dropped me off at the Bay Island ferry dock after two nights of tasty german cuisine, cooling off in the pool and utilizing the internet available. Then i called back... More
