When you go to Caribien island you expect nice picefull place, unfortunately this place isn't. Pool is full of divers who training them for scuba diving. Five min walking distance to oven sounds good but there is only rush street an harbor. More 10 min you find public beach but full of sea grass so romantic sunbathing isn't possible. Food... More

Straight up the hill from the dock, Mango is quiet and quaint, but even the more expensive units are duplexes. Sharing a balcony with neighbors sucks. Bummer for those looking for privacy. If you're not a diver or prefer more autonomy, look elsewhere.

People need to in mind what country they are in, this is NOT a major city like New York. The Power went out on the whole Island twice during out 2 WEEK stay. There were a couple issues with the Cottage when we checked in but they fixed them within minutes of us checking into the room (faster than any... More

Stayed 2 nights. Cabin $100 per night. Good AC, H20, beds ok. Sewer smell in bath. Poor Internet if any. Restaurant was good, pizza particularly. Wanted to charge 4% fee for using CC at check out and tried to charge more per night than quoted. Pool is run down but swimable. Should be more put together overall.

Best food and place to hang out on Utila. I ate here the last three nights on the island. The vibe is great. Only ate there but owners are super friendly, pool looks great, and I could eat the 3 meat pizza everyday. I will be staying here next time I'm on Utila, and I wish I had stayed here.

Was able to book 2 rooms last minute. Rooms were very nice. Rough sheets though. At night the bar was loud but didn't bother me too much. They arranged 2 tuck tucks for us at 530 am. Would like to party there again. The cavana is better than the standard. Cavana room had 2 queen beds. Easy walk to town

On the first sight the Mango Inn looks like a very nice hostel, also recommended in the lonely planet. It has nice wooden rooms build around a pool for swimming and diving training. It offers WiFi around the restaurant and pool area. Also it offers free nights and breakfast with all courses of the Utila Dive Center. The staff is... More

If it weren't for the discount from the dive centre I'd have probably stayed elsewhere. Food was pretty good. Breakfast was quick and basically good. Plugs were barely working. No water for about 2 days, internet only in the bar and sheets were damp. Didn't smell great in places too. Staff of a morning were generally pretty hungover and it's... More

I stayed at the Mango for four nights when I first arrived on Utila in July. It's about a 5-minute walk inland (north) from the centre of town, or about 10-minutes to Utila Dive Centre. If you're taking the IDC course through UDC, this is a superb place to start out as a lot of your course is conducted out... More

Me and my friend stayed there in Sept 2014. We joined the course in Utila diving center which include the accomadation in Mango inn. We be upgraded to a standard private room with air con and ensuit bathroom. That was excellent. Believe me, you really need a air con room especaily at night when the mosquito and sand fly come...
