I really cannot say enough good things about Barefoot Cay. We went for a relaxing get away with great diving opportunities. We selected BC from the overwhelmingly positive Trip Advisor reviews and because the resort is small and very private (only 5 ocean view rooms, a couple beach bungalows and a Villa). If you are looking for a trendy hot... more

My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay at the Barefoot Cay resort from June 20 thru June 27, 2009. I can't say enough good things about the resort, the food, and the people. We went there with pretty high expectations and our expectations we exceeded. The resort is a 3 acre island about 80 feet from the main... more

My husband and I spent four nights at Barefoot Cay in April. It was the last part of our two week trip in Central America. We chose Roatan (and Barefoot Cay) because we wanted a beautiful place to relax, snorkel, and try out scuba diving. It didn't disappoint. Everything about our stay at Barefoot Cay was flawless - from the... more

We arrived the day after the earthquake. Aftershocks were a little scary but not too bad. Villas are very comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. We had everything we needed, even a cell phone was provided. Staff was attentive and friendly. The food is excellent. We ate dinner for most of the 9 nights we stayed there. We love to snorkel... more

This was my first time to Roatan and I would not even think of staying anywhere else. I was part of an eight person dive trip group that stayed at the resort. We were picked up at the airport by the general manager and driven to the resort which is just about ten minutes away. We filled out all our... more

For our honeymoon, my husband and I spent two weeks on the island of Roatan. Barefoot Cay was the first place we stayed and I wish we had stayed there the entire time. Granted Barefoot Cay is not right smack in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the West End, but it is truly paradise. We were picked... more

My husband and I chose Barefoot Cay for our honeymoon based on the rave reviews we read on Trip Advisor, so I thought it was only fair to repay the favour and make sure to leave feedback so that others could benefit. In one word: Paradise! We had the best time of our lives. From the very beginning when Santos... more

We were very pleased with our stay at barefoot cay. It is definetly a hotel off the beaten track that caters more to older couples or honeymooners or divers. I would not recommend it for families with small children. The staff were great. Friendly, knowledgable, a special mention to Santos and Michelle ( dive shop), Lauren ( kitchen staff). The... more

We had spent time traveling on mainland Honduras and had our final stop at Barefoot Cay for a week. We have done quite a lot of traveling and were really looking forward to this stop. We were treated like royalty from the begining, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was awesome, and if the menu item wasn't... more

What a stay at the Barefoot! I will share many details but in summary, the staff was off the chart friendly and helpful, the food was some of the best I have ever had (I live in San Francisco and eat out all of the time), and the accommodations were great. The details by category: The Food: You can eat... more
