In my recent visit to Roatan I decided to get my open water certification through Barefoot divers. Besides the obvious crystal clear water and abundance of aquatic life I was greeted and mentored by there professional staff. This dive center was well organized with great equipment and facility's. There instructors are highly experienced and knowledgable of the reefs and the... More

A marvelous small resort. The staff are actually joyful- Matthew, Eric, Carlos, Haydee, Stephanie-and many more- all wonderful, resourceful, and ahead of our needs, suggesting better places, timing and transport for all of our outings. The owner- lovely Milesse, is genuinely interested in her guests, their lives, and making sure this private cay is truly a gem in Roatan. In... More

We had a 5 night stay here in January. It was so peaceful, partly because it wasn't busy, but also because there are so many places around the cay to hang out by yourselves. We were in a partial villa. The villas are 2 per building with a living room in between which you can rent or not. We didn't... More

Stayed with a large group (8 people) in Butterfly Fish and Angel Fish during the week of January 3-9, 2015 For those who travel, you know how important having helpful staff is. Well, at Barefoot Cay, every staff I came in contact with was absolutely amazing. Always asking what they can do for us, and offering help anytime we needed... More

This is a beautiful property, excellent for peace & quiet, attentive staff, and very good food. I agree with many other reviewers that there's really no need to go off-site for fine dining! We enjoyed our stay immensely. Barefoot Cay is small and focuses on extremely good customer service. Due to an error by Expedia, wherein we booked a cottage... More

I stayed at Barefoot Cay during the week of Christmas 2014. Setting: Barefoot Cay is located on a small island separated from the shore by a narrow channel. The dive center (excellent, see separate review) is on the mainland, right in front of the island, while the restaurant and bungalows are on the little island that can dock a couple... More

Thank you for taking the time for your review, and for your thorough appraisal of our property. We’re happy that you enjoyed the setting and the dive operation, as well as the house reef and your bungalow. It’s disappointing to hear that we’ve fallen short in a few areas. We appreciate the detail that you’ve provided so that we can... More

We visited in August and it was a very enjoyable trip. Stayed in a room above the dive shop. Was originally worried about noise early in the morning when divers would be leaving (if we weren't with them) and it was absolutely not an issue. The room was comfortable. The kitchen is great if you are able to get to... More

This was our second time diving with Barefoot but the first stay at this perfect resort. When we travel we often wander off resort property to find other dining and experiences. We found everything we needed on site, diving every morning then relaxing either poolside or at our villa. Accommodations and all services exceeded expectations. The food and wine selections... Barefoot Cay is truly an awesome experience . The staff is trained to be helpful but not invasive which means your privacy is of the utmost importance. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the views on the Cay are some of the best of the best. If you are looking for a lovely place to get away from your hectic... More
