The place is totally amazing, indescriptible i am from Honduras and i can´t believe we have this little piece of paradise in our land. I recommend this place if you want to escape for a weekend they also have a nude beach and everything is really private. The staff really nice and friendly.

Yes, many people seem to be head over heels about Paya Bay. Granted, it's a sweet little spot on the less populated part of Roatan. Our biggest complaint during our 4 night stay, SERVICE. I was confined to crutches and unable to assist my wife with carrying the luggage up and down those many stairs to our room. At no... More

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Paya Bay and the Island of Roatan. This beautiful resort at the east end of the island offers many scenic spots to take in the sea views and enjoy the rugged coastline. It also has a perfect sandy beach with small dipping pool and a separate private sun bathing area on a secluded... More

You don't want to miss this place on the east side of the island. Whether visiting for the afternoon or for the week, you're free to be yourself here...Shed your clothes (or not) & take a leisurely stroll on the beach or skinny dip...snorkel out to a nice little reef...do some yoga...relax in a hammock...have a delicious lunch inside or... I couldn't find a listing for the restaurant, so I put my comments here.We had a great experience the first time! The second experience was even better than the first. The food server mixed a mean margarita, it tasted so good we had two. The fresh Mahi was excellent. The best part was getting to meet the owner of the... More

Recently we (wife and I) were on a cruise aboard the Carnival Freedom which included a stop in Roatan, Honduras. When looking for possible excursions on TripAdvisor, I found the Paya Bay Resort which happened to offer a day pass for cruise visitors. I emailed the resort and promptly received a reply from Michelle in the reservations department who said... More

The hotel staff and owners go out of their way to be accommodating. The resort is second generation family owned so there is pride in everything they do. It is on the opposite side of the island than the tourist shops but that is as not a problem for us. A couple of restaurants near for variety if you feel... More

We had one day to spend in Roatan on a cruise, so we chose to spend it at Paya Bay. We were not disappointed! We were picked up outside the cruise terminal and driven about 45 minutes to the resort. It's a nice way to get to see that end of the island. Once there we relaxed on the private... More

Paya Bay Resort has several room available. I was on a retreat and had friends in several of the different rooms. As mentioned by other reviewers I highly recommend the rooms cliff side rooms. I stayed at the Beach Side House in room 14. This room appeared to be in the middle of getting updated, but in fine condition for... More

We live and run a dive shop on the West End of Roatan and even though we live in here we too need a break from time to time. We could only take a night away and so we thought we would try out the East End and specifically Paya Bay Resort. It only takes 3 letters to describe it.... More
