I am being completely spoiled by Atitlan. Stay tuned for my review of where I have been spending two weeks for the price of my room in Xela. I ended up at Olivos because Casa Argentina didn’t have any rooms left with a private bathroom (and the room I did see was downright nasty) and nor did Gato Negro, right... More

Economical hotel a 2 blocks from central square. Rooms open to a center court yard which can get noisy at times as patrons return to their rooms. There is a Restaurant on-site. I was with a group and our meals were the same for everyone; I don't know if there was a menu available. Food was a little bland with... More

This hotel has a good location, and I wasn't bothered by the room at all! Shure, it might not be the best hotel I visited while staying in Guatemala, but I found my room to be clean (and the bathroom, too) and the breakfast was good! The roof also provides a great view over the city, so all in all... More

I stayed in this hotel as a single traveller (woman in my early 40s) for three nights. It was recommended by Lonely Planet and others, and when I phoned up to reserve it sounded lovely. However, I was really shocked by the actual state of the place. I don't know whether it has become run down over the last few... More

It's a nice hotel in the facilities but a little noisy during the night. The beds were confortable, the water hot and I enjoy the nature. The rates are very low, so are there's a good choice for that tourist with not to much money....

While the location is good and it is fairly clean, our room was so damp that our clothes all smelled like mildew in two days. You are much better off going to the cuter, cleaner, and dryer Black Cat across the street.

This is an excellent hotel and great value for the money with good location on 13 Ave only 2 blocks from the central square. It is very clean and comfortable and rooms have private bathroom, cable TV, carpeting, plentiful hot water all for just over $15 a night! The staff is also friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms near... More
