This budget hotel is a block and a half from the central park, with free parking and included breakfast. It is clean enough and comfortable enough given the low price. The staff are constantly around, so as a solo senior woman I felt safe (also safe in the park, even at night). Breakfast is usually at one time only, but... More

Great place to stay, close to central park, in a quiet place, near everything. Cable TV, indoor parking, warm water. The staff as very cool. It worth th emoney. If I go back to Xela, of course I'm going back to this hotel.

I stayed at Hotel Los Olivos for a week last month. The location makes it worth the money. I would probably return if I went back to Xela, but it's definitely worth looking at other options. Pros: -The food was good and very affordable (I tried both the plato tipico and the plato Americano breakfasts - I recommend the tipico,... More

We've been coming to this hotel for several years. It's clean, safe and the staff makes special accommodations for our group. We'll keep coming back. Excellent service although a rudimentary hotel. The food is good and we feel comfortable eating it in a Central American country.

I like this hotel: hot water, cable TV and indoor parking. Plus, it's only a block and a half from the Central park and good restaurants. The price is right also: 150 quetzals or $18 USD for a big comfortable bed. Breakfast is included, scrambled eggs and beans and it's on the second floor. Whenever I return to Xela, it'll... More

I have stayed here when traveling to Quetzaltenango, the hotel is nice, it is near the main central park, restaurant and also they have free wifi in the rooms. The rooms are descent and not luxury but stil very clean. The price is not so expensive and very competitive! if you go there you can call them or just show... More

I stayed here recently with a large group. The hotel is very basic, but provides all your essentials (and if you have traveled in 3rd world countries you know what "essentials' means!) The bathrooms have hot water, toilet paper, etc. TV in room, bedding is basic. I would recommend packing a sleeping bag or warm clothes as it can get... More

I am being completely spoiled by Atitlan. Stay tuned for my review of where I have been spending two weeks for the price of my room in Xela. I ended up at Olivos because Casa Argentina didn’t have any rooms left with a private bathroom (and the room I did see was downright nasty) and nor did Gato Negro, right... More

Economical hotel a 2 blocks from central square. Rooms open to a center court yard which can get noisy at times as patrons return to their rooms. There is a Restaurant on-site. I was with a group and our meals were the same for everyone; I don't know if there was a menu available. Food was a little bland with... More

This hotel has a good location, and I wasn't bothered by the room at all! Shure, it might not be the best hotel I visited while staying in Guatemala, but I found my room to be clean (and the bathroom, too) and the breakfast was good! The roof also provides a great view over the city, so all in all... More
