Me and my boyfriend spent almost 1 week at Casa Renaissance. He got sick and Casa Renaissance is just the perfect place to stay at when you are sick. The rooms are big, the beds are comfortable and we even had a DVD player with lots of DVDs in our room. Everywhere in the Casa you can see nice accessoires... More

We really enjoyed our weekend in Quetzaltenango. The hotel is very well located -- about three blocks from the main square. The rooms are really big and there is a communal kitchen and other common areas, as well as several hammocks, all perfect for socializing. The bathroom was spotless. Only thing missing was parking space, but for a fee it... More

This is such a wonderful place to stay in Quetzaltenango. The guesthouse is always very clean and you meet the best people. If you want peace and quiet in a central location of the historical region, this is it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Casa Renaissance is everything you could hope for in a hostel. It is a huge colonial era house in the very center of Xela. The house has a communal laptop, fast wifi, a tv with thousands of movies, multiple common areas and hammocks for socializing, clean drinking water, a kitchen with many appliances and two beautiful, friendly cats (Pus and... We stayed here in Dec 2014 and had 3 great nights. Rooms were big with clean heavy blankets for the cold nights. Hot showers and full use of the kitchen is another bonus. The hostel is within easy walking distance of town and there is a bike rental place at the end of the street. Would highly recommend this place.

The guesthouse is situated in the centre of Xela. Everything you need (restaurants, banks, supermarket) is almost next door. The rooms are clean, spatious and comfortable. Also there are lots of common facilities! I could really recommend staying here.

We spent three nights in Casa Renaissance and loved our room. It was huuuuuuuuge. Very well furnished with two beds and very clean. Marieke does almost everything by herself and she does it really well. We hope she'll have a lot of success. She made dutch sweets and punch for all the guests for new years. Which was really nice... We stayed four nights here in late October and early November and really enjoyed it. Our room was large, clea, attractive and comfortable. The owner, Marieke, was friendly and helpful. There was good wi-fi, a well equipped kitchen, an outdoor area in which to eat and an indoor "lounge" area. The showers had hot water. The price was more than reasonable.... More

This place is right in center of Xela on walking distance of bars, restaurants, Spanish schools and supermarket. The rooms are spacious in an authentic house and excellent value for money. We had the room with private bathroom, including a living room and hot shower! Wifi is free and Marieke will help you to sort out and arrange the tours... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a room with shared bathroom. The rooms are large and comfortable, with a desk and a big closet to store our bags. The owner really does a good job taking care of her house and making sure it was comfortable for her guests. The bathrooms and showers were... More
