Such a nice place! Rooms are big, beautiful and clean. Cheap for what you get. The guesthouse has a kitchen, a living room and a patio. The only reservation I will mention – sorry! – is the owner: not super friendly, asking to be quite all the time, not super good for giving tips (“ask the travel agency, take a... More

This is a great, comfortable guesthouse. It has a handful of spacious rooms. Some of them have private bathrooms, and some share a couple of shower stalls and toilets - but the shared bathrooms are clean and comfortable and not far from the rooms. The house is older and charming, but very clean. The guesthouse is just a couple blocks... More

Very nice hotel to stay, next to the central place. Very big & clean rooms, nicely decorated with Guatemalan ‘art’, hot showers, clean kitchen with lots of equipment, good & big fridge, purified water… We really liked staying in this peaceful place, sitting in the courtyard, or sleeping in a hammock. Lots of tours & transport can be arranged from... More

We stayed at Casa Renaissance for 5 planned nights, and one unplanned. From the moment we got there, we felt really welcomed by Marieke and we really loved the property! Everything was so clean (especially for a 100+ year old colonial building) - the bathrooms, showers, kitchen, the bed sheets, and even the corridors. Filtered water and hot shower water... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in a double room with private bathroom. The room was huge with a bedroom, sofa, table and chairs. Great value as well for 160q per night. The location is perfect as it is right in the middle of town. There are nice common spaces and a TV with loads of movies available to watch.... More

This guesthouse is so fantastic we actually stayed on two separate occasions; two nights on our way to Lake Atitlan and a week once we returned. The rooms are spacious and clean, the ones we saw all had two beds so would suit a small group or friends as well as a couple. The common spaces were always clean and... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Renaissance. A very relaxing place with a lovely ambience that made me feel at home. Located in a quiet street, just a short walk from the Parque Central. Great, clean facilities and Marieke was always really helpful when I had questions.

My experience at Casa Renaissance was exceptional. The booking and communication were simple, the guesthouse was lovely with spacious rooms, hot water, two outdoor patios, a very nice kitchen and indoor "living room". The Central Park and supermarket are two short blocks away. What made my stay special was Mariecke's support and help. I had planned to continue to San... More

I chose to stay here because the reviews were very good. And it didn't disappoint. I love the beautiful old house - everything is old, but in working order and well cared for. The room was enormous and the posada felt very safe. It also has a great location. Marieke was very efficient replying to our emails, even when we... More

I've been living in Guatemala for 6 months and have seen more than my fair share of hostels - If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, spacious room with a private bath that's in an excellent location and offers free water, tea, wifi, and cable for a great price (160Q), you will not find a better place in Xela....
