The place has a great location, you have to cross the river in a boat if you from the city, but if you call The Catamaran they will arrange their boat "Sledge Hammer" to pick you up. The rooms are a bit old but comfortable. Some people complain about the hot water, but you just have to let the water... More

This place is actually a fair boat ride away from Livingston. Its location on the Rio Dulce is very nice. The facilities themselves, however, leave a lot to be desired. Our cabin was reminiscent of a summer camp cabin. We felt as though we were "roughing it". Fortunately, the beds were reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was very tiny and it... More

Stayed here for 1 night as part of a Tucan tour. Loved it! Fabulous location and property. On a little island and all of the rooms are separate little huts- gorgeous! The pool, restaurant, lobby area and sitting areas are all really nice with lovely views of the water. Our room was really comfortable& clean. We had dinner in the... More

I had trouble trying to book this hotel on line but in the end were able to book it through the couple with whom we were to sail out of Rio Dulce. It is, incidentally, off Rio Dulce, not Livingston. When you get to Rio Dulce, you have to call the hotel and they send their launch to get you.... More

Stayed only one night at this hotel as part of a tour. When we arrived, the place was very nice. Our cabin was over the water, which backed on to a dock with large yachts - quite cool, although not what I was expecting from my cabin on the rio dulce. You can't buy drinks directly from the bar, you... More

These cabins are what I imagine the quintessential summer camp cabins to be like. They're very minimalistic but it's a fun concept. My twin 4-year-old boys really got a kick out of staying in cabins over the water so it was worth it. What they lack in plush accommodations, they made up for with a breakfast buffet with plenty of... More

LOVED IT! Small little cabins clustered around an island with a central bar/restaurant. Several American Expat's also moor their boats on the island. Small heated pool. Most cabins had two twin beds and one double. Rustic bathroom with sink/shower/toilet. Window units and ceiling fans in each room. A small semi-private balcony overlooking the water. Some of our friends even fished... More

We stayed here twice with the family and on both occasions we felt let down by the service, the amenities and the general atmosphere. Unfortunately, for the size of room we needed there aren't that many other options in the area. The management on the phone were pretty arrogant and rude. The staff reflected this on arrival by being grumpy... More

What an amazing place, great views, great people, great location. The staff and food was great, and many many beers. The pool was so soothing after a day in the sun and again many many beers. I so want to go back as soon as possible.

This hotel was part of a SmarTours excursion to Guatemala. The small bungalows remind one of a place to settle down in a camp grounds. The paths leading to the bungalows are dark and creepy. The bungalows themselves are small, lacking adequate lighting, no amenities to speak of. By the time we ate dinner we were all so tired from... More
