Livingston can only be reached by boat and is very different from the rest of Guatemala. The hotel amply reflects this unusual and charming location. Set above the esturay of the Rio Dulce it has wonderful views across the water. Below the rooms is a swimming pool and a beach whilst the town is on the doorstep in the other... More

Stayed here last night for one night as part of a tour. Quirky might describe it !! It was clean and our room looked over the water and pool. Ate in restaurant for dinner, this was fine. We did have our tour guide with us.......not sure if it made a difference ?? Breakfast was ok.........not the best on the trip... More

We didn't stay at this hotel but we did eat dinner here. It's a lovely spot and the breeze on the terrace was really pleasant. The hotel restaurant is luxurious and we were excited to eat there at first. However, the service was slow. We were the only ones there but they took forever to take our order and bring... More

First, the little bungalow we had was nicely appointed, roomy and almost built right into the cliff over looking the water. We could not have asked for a nicer place. But, I am not sure how anyone with disabilities could navigate this hotel. It is a beautiful location, but you arrive at the dock and have a HUGE hike up... More

We arrive after a boat tip down and some bird watching on the river (the Great White Egrets were in glorious full breeding dress). The keys to our rooms were waiting for us and we were very quickly installed in our rooms or bungalows. Out bungalow was quite spacious and well lit, a quaint point being the conch yells that... We were on a 3-week tour of The Lost World of the Mayans with a small group (9) and stayed here 2 nights. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river. Livingston reminded us of when we were in Nevis, the West Indies, over 50 years ago. You come to Livingston for the boat ride on the river, seeing the... More

We arrived here after a long day of travel from Omoa, Honduras and were thrilled to enter this oasis of peace and tranquility. The room was lovely - light and bright with a great balcony. We could not have been happier with our room. The view we had was amazing and the price for what we got was completely reasonable.... More

Nice setting in pretty gardens by the water, with its own dock.Simple clean room, imaginatively decorated with shell lamps, and with outlook over the water. Close to all the restaurants in town. we did not have dinner here, but breakfast was poor, could have been a lot better. Probably the best place to stay in Livingstone.

After a long travel day, including getting soaked on the boat ride into Livingston, I decided to splurge. I'm glad I did. I had room 414 for two nights, which gave me sea/river views and a bit of town too. The pool is huge, and I used it several times. There's even a waterfall. The hammocks by the water are... More

We stayed at the Hotel Villa Caribe twice during our trip to Belize and Guatemala. This is an excellent hotel for the money. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom very nice, with a cool shower. My partner really liked the bamboo towel racks. We spent some time in the pool which was also very large...
