Really enjoyed our stay here at Hotel Villa Caribe. Rooms are comfortable and so are the beds. Prices are fine. Loved the clean pool, friendly staff and the location. Loved being right there on the caribean sea...everything was lovely.

I like the secluded location. The hitel is laid back with friendly caribean style service. The rooms are rustic as is the hotel and that adds to the overall experience. I would stay here again. Reasonable prices

I'm a little late on this review. My family and I were there last month and it was absolutely beautiful! We took a short 30 minute boat ride from Puerto Barrios to get to the hotel & from the moment u step out of the boat onto the hotel grounds, you realize that you're in paradise. The grounds are beautiful... More

The room was bit overpriced at 122 US but had great location overlooking the ocean. The room reminded me of an American Motel room, with two double beds, old TV with cable channels, shower only bathroom with hot water. The pool and grounds were lovely. The breakfast included in the room rate was adequate and we ate it on the... More

I’m actually quite shocked that our reputable UK tour company should put their clients up at such a squalid hotel as the Villa Caribe. And not only that, drive them for 8 hours from Copan, Honduras, without a lunch break, then a boat ride from the cesspit of Puerto Barrios to get to this awful hotel. At least it was... More

We just stayed 1 night in Villa Caribe, and we hoped we could stay for longer! Just take in account, you have to do a lot of stairs to reach the hotel from the boatpier. If you arrive by boat, do not be afraid you will have to carry your luggage upstairs, Some men are waiting for you to help... More

This was a nice hotel in a lovely setting and with great views. The ambience of the hotel is definitely Caribbean and it has a nice pool and pretty gardens. Breakfast is good and the bar (outside the hotel entrance) is great! The rooms are a little tired and could do with a bit of refurbishment but, having seen the... More

We couldn't exactly put our finger on it but there is definitely something very appealing about this hotel. It is tired and could really do with some TLC, but the staff do very well with what they have. The rooms are quite basic but very functional and ours was spotlessly clean. Rather bizarrely there was a new television, but possibly... More

Our Lost World of the Mayans tour group of 14 arrived after a boat tip and some bird watching on the way down the Rio Dulce for a 2 nights stay at this lost paradise of peace and tranquility. It's a beautiful location, but you arrive at their dock and have a to hike up many flights of stairs and... More
