My daughter and I were here with a rug hooking tour. We were so happy to be placed in bungalow #9-Aguacatel-(avocado) and thoroughly enjoyed making a fire every night and sleeping in the king sized bed next to it! We woke up to see men roasting coffee in the park-like space next to our cabin! It was so interesting to... More

The Posada was full for our dates, but offered us the old bakery (undergoing conversion to a cottage) for half price. It easily exceeded expectations: spacious, clean, kitchenette, huge bathroom. All a bit funky but perfect for our needs. An excellent base to explore this magical area and the town itself. The impressive restaurant didn't disappoint and Petronilla and Rolando... More

The grounds are large and there are a number of stone cottage like rooms scattered across the property. Mine was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly. I also liked the restauarnt especially the breakfast.

My girlfriend, Lynda, and I loved our rustic, stone-built casa in a lush, park-like setting; it was cozy and comfortable, furnished with all we needed, with a bathroom with dependable hot water, and with a wood-burning fireplace. Only minutes away, downhill, the restaurant was a spacious and most welcoming place. Its tasty and healthy bill of fare, lovingly prepared and... More

Rustic charm in a stone built paradise. Immaculate grounds of tropical foliage. Cottages with fireplaces and candles, coffee makers, DVD player, comfy beds, hot wayer shower, purified water tap in each room. Restaurant was GREAT. I'd spend a couple days here and happily eat breakfast lunch and dinner there. Pool was cool, hot tub was small but warm, chill by... More

Posada de Santiago Is located outside of Santiago de Atitlan (about 10 minute walk to the village center). The property is divided into two sections. The lake side has its own dock, the pool, and a bar or lounging area for guests to relax and enjoy the lake views. Across the street is the hotel's main ground where the guest... More

My family stayed in a cottage (2 adults, 2 kids). The rooms are comfortable, very clean and quiet. They advertised the availability of bikes, so in my broken Spanish I inquired where they were. My Spanish was a lot worse than I thought, because when I thought I was asking to use a rental bike, in reality I was trying... More

A truly memorable spot to spend Christmas...wonderful location on the lake, short walk into town. Loved everything about it--the views of the lake and San Pedro volcano, the rooms (with working fireplaces that got lots of use), the grounds, the restaurant (especially breakfast and Christmas dinner spread), the lakeside bar and pool (with firepit at night), the canoes, the boat... This place is awesome. My family and I stayed there for two nights while on vacation in Guatemala. After getting to the hotel dirty and sweaty we had lovely hot showers and beautiful clean bedrooms. After waking up to the wonderful aroma of freshly roasting coffee beans, we headed out to the hotel dock where we took out their two... More

No details left undone, David thought of everything to make my 2 night stay memorable. The beds, the pillows, the hot water, a real safe in the room, even a nice man working on the property at night, came to light my fireplace. The restarant was beautiful and the food delicious with a view of the volcanoes and water from... More
