We paid for a basic room, but were given a suite with a basic kitchen ( no dishes, etc) with sink and frig, and a living area. We had three beds but there were only two of us. The staff was very accommodating. It seems as if every time we visit they are under construction. The larger garden has become... More

The staff are absolutely horrible. We got there looking for a room with A/C (as we booked one) but we got a room in which the a/c does not work. we moved to a bigger room with a fan afterwards which cost the same. (got to say we got free brrakfast for that which was not included first, but wait... More

We chose this place because of the reviews, but I found it cold and un-inviting. The jazucczi was broken, The rooms have flourescent lighting, and worst of all, a glass bathroom door that wakes everyone up in the middle of the night because its glass???? The owner seems to be pretty miserable and even the staff gives off the feeling... More

Very nice location, quiet, well maintained. Was in the rear through the garden which was very nice. Used the laundry service which worked out well, very clean and nicely folded. Manager was very helpful and friendly, spoke very good English. Lots of good information available. Quick walk to most anywhere in town. Breakfast was good.

Our little upstairs room with our own balcony was like staying in a treehouse. The rooms were immaculate and charming. The staff was helpful arranging ticket reservations for a shuttle to other cities, and the two dogs were a delight. We walked to Lake Atitlan each morning for a breakfast on the lake, and wandered the streets of Pana. Instead... More

We found this place pretty last minute and I was thrilled with the price and the location. We got there pretty early so they let us put our bags in secured lockers. They have dogs, one was a puppy which was super cute to play with. The place is crazy secured with a locking gate so you feel very safe... More

Spent last night there. Spacious room for a very cheap price, the staff was very accommodating and helped me out. Very comfortable beds, the room came with a nice kitchen and a nice bathroom. All this for just 30 USD! very good location, just steps away from lake Atitlán and the main road. I would stay here again. Recommend.

Rooms adequate but well overpriced. Breakfast is so so. Really bad coffee ( they grow good coffee from Panama until the us though). No help from staff in regard to transport to anywhere else like the market town. Got told we are full which was not really the answer to the questions.

Four of us blindly booked a stay at Hotel Utz Jay when our plans to visit Antigua were cancelled by an erupting volcano. We loved the Hotel. The service was friendly and our rooms could not have been better. In fact we had booked another hotel for later in the week and when we found that Utz Jay could accommodate... More

LAX Tour Agency did a wonderful job to get this hotel to fit my specifications for the lake tour. I told them that I like a small boutique hotel with characters and the price range is from "medium budget to low end". I got it. The hotel is located a block from main street in a quiet side street and... More
