The hotel is a combination of marvellous things: wonderful place, great service & hospitality, great food, lake Atitlan next to the hotel. A place to warmly recommend to anyone willing to visit lake Atitlan area.

I loved the hotel and what a setting when I looked outside in the morning following my evening arrival. The staff were very professional and extremely attentive nothing was too much trouble for them, I guess they made my visit even more special.

I have stayed at the Villa Santa Catarina several times and I have had wonderful experiences each and every time! The rooms are minimal but comfortable and safe, and the staff is always cordial and polite. This hotel is beautiful and is rarely crowded. I thought the room rate of $105 which included breakfast and dinner was an excellent deal. The room was very spacious with a fireplace. There is a church next door that can be loud on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings but it didn't last long.
