Stayed here while on a Caravan tour. What a lovely garden and pool. Otherworldly views of the lake and the volcanoes from my clean and comfortable room. The restaurant food is very fresh and well-prepared. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

We first spotted Lake Atitlan sparkling in the afternoon sun from the high road above the lake. We came from the north from Chichicastinego, perched high in the mountains. In a former life, this hotel was an expansive coffee plantation. Now it serves as a spectacular destination for weddings or a restful vacation spot with family and friends. Surrounded by... More

What a spectacularly beautiful place! My husband and I stayed here for two nights in April as part of an independent Guatemala tour. We couldn’t believe it when we were upgraded to a top-floor suite which had a huge balcony, living area and amazing views over the lake and volcanoes (although we only got a brief glimpse on our last... This was such a grand place. It was so beautiful and comfortable. The gardens and view of the Volcano were stellar. The service was great, the bar is comfy and the food is good in the dining room. Breakfast was awesome. The room was decorated nice and very comfortable. I will go back again.

This is a classic colonial hotel on the shore of the lake. The gardens are beautiful and exceptionally well kept. We had room 215 overlooking the gardens and lake. Room was medium sized and well decorated with plenty of paintings. It had 2 iron framed queen sized beds that I found to be extremely comfortable, a large flat screen TV... More

I've stayed here 3 times and just love it. Beautiful rooms with views of the lake and volcanoes. Comfortable beds and fluffy towels. Lots of folk art and antiques around. The gardens are just beautiful and enjoy seeing the resident birds...toucans, scarlett macaws, parrots and peacocks. We also saw a monkey this time...must be an escapee from the nature reserve... Overall we loved the hotel! The view was the best, rooms were comfortable and it was close to town without being in town. The restaurant could be improved but isn't that bad. Pros: - Fantastic View from the restaurant and pool, and several of the rooms - Great pool area, including drink service to your chair - Awesome infinity hot... More

Wonderful hotels with awesome old fashioned ambiance, and amazing views. Really pretty grounds. Good friendly staff. Pool and outdoor jacuzzi sparkle and, at least in May, you want the jacuzzi. All services (hikes, etc) better negotiated in town (Roger's tours). Not much good food in the area but the hotel restaurant was sadly lacking, so go to town. (All tuk-tuk... More
