I had lunch at the hotel one afternoon. The views are breath taking. The food was great, the menu had many options, and a decent price. While we were waiting for our food, we walking around the ground, absolutely beautiful!! This place is worth traveling to just for the views.

We went there to have lunch and to see the gardens which are amazing. The staff were so delightful that my next visit to Guatemala we are considering staying a few days here!! The views from the dining area is the best, but let me warn you the breeze coming from the lake can get quite cold, might want to... More

Just looking at the photos of the hotel made me miss it. We recently returned and it was so wonderful to stay at The Hotel Atitlan. Everything was so lovely, our room with its amazing view of the lake and volcanos, the restaurant and its excellent food, the facilities -- I even enjoyed the gift shop! The hotel itself, the... Lovely hotel right on the shore on beautiful lake Atitlan. Great room with the best view of the lake. Modern updated bathrooms. Rooms decorated in the traditional Guatemalan style. Beds large and comfortable. The hotel restaurant is the best in Panajachel. The hotel grounds are expertly manicured. Staff was very attentive to our needs. The place is very romantic. Had... More

We spent a week at Hotel Atitlan in February, 2014. We loved the charm of the hotel with wonderful local art work at every turn. We booked one of the suites, and our room was lovely, with a wonderful view of the lake and the volcanoes. The gardens were truly spectacular. We loved walking through them and enjoying the birds... Only stopped one night, would have liked to stay longer. Nestled on the side of the lake surrounded by mountains & volcanoes with it's own jetty, helicopter pad, infinitely hot tub and beautiful swimming pool. Fantastic gardens to wander around with caged birds tucked around each corner. The food & service were good as were the surroundings for eating. This... More

Lovely grounds and great location. The room was comfortable but would have benefited from a bit of refurbishment. The food was pretty good generally. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was sad to see the Macaws with their wings clipped and the Toucans in cages though.

Gardens are stunning, food, drinks and service are great! I have to say that it was disturbing to see that most of the large species green parrots and toucans lived in very small cages. They are truly beautiful, but are animals that migrate and are suppose to fly hundreds of miles a year, not be cooped up for human spectators.... More

Had the opportunity to stay at this location for two days. The property was located directly on the lake with a panoramic view of volcanoes and distant villages. The hotel was surrounded by incredible gardens with native birds and an outdoor area for dinning and lounging. The pool and the hot spa added an extra bonus to our stay. The... More

Very much enjoyed this hotel in the beautiful area of Panajachel, Guatemala. The rooms were extremely comfortable, with each room having a small balcony overlooking the incredible view of the lake and the three volcanoes. The food was good, particularly the buffet breakfast and staff were terrific.
