Stayed in Cacique Inn for 1 night and I really loved it there. The hotel has a restaurant, a pool, and a nice garden. As for the room, it was spotlessly clean and very spacious and comfortable! I slept good there. The next morning I went on a Lake Atitlan village tour and was anxious about my backpack having to... More

We stayed for 2 nights in room 20, on a 28 day trip of Central America. After a full days drive from Mexico, a cold welcome drink at reception was well received. Check in was fast and our cases were delivered promptly to our room. Room 20 was very large, with a comfy king size bed. Small tv, but at... More

I gave La Cacique a very good rating as opposed to average simply based on comparison to a myriad of other hotels I've stayed at in Guatemala. It has beautiful grounds, a nice pool, good wifi, a restaurant with charming waiters and good breakfasts (which is also open for snacks), and a bit of a pub. I like the nice... More

Nice location near to the lake , the rooms were comfortable although the doors seemed strange (they were frosted patio doors). The grounds were nicely kept and the pool nice and clean. The downside was the noise at night , although saying that we found that it didn't seem to hinder us falling asleep, maybe we were just so tired... More

I stayed at the Hotel Cacique Inn mid-March 2015 for a 2-night stay, for a day-long visit to the nearby town of Chichicastenango, then an excursion on Lake Atitlán the following day before then proceeding to Antigua on the sixth stage of my 18-day 'Mysteries of the Maya' holiday operated by Voyages Jules Verne. I found this hotel to be... More

Excellent accommodations, good food, friendly service, comfortable public areas and pool. Within walking distance of most areas of Panajachel. Very relaxing place to stay. Worked up in mountains above Solola, and it was good to return to Cacique to rest at the end of the day. Welcoming place.

Initial impressions were good; nice setting, lovely pool, large and comfortable bedrooms and prompt bar service with tasty snacks and pleasant staff. Unfortunately for the 2 night stay we were disturbed by noise of music, barking dogs and traffic. Rooms nearer reception suffered from noise from the bar. Breakfast was the norm for this part of the world; fruit and... More

2 night stay in this clean and comfortable hotel. It has glass / wrought iron sliding doors to the rooms which are quite noisy. However the hotel is next to a busy road and a vehicle compound across the street has 2 security dogs which bark very noisily regularly during the night. This should have been a nice stay but... I stayed at the Cacique for the first time with a study abroad group of 10 college students and two faculty recently. In the past we had stayed at a different hotel, but we will stay at Cacique in the future from now on. The rooms were spacious and had a separate bath with shower, and sliding doors opening onto... One of three hotels during a group stay in Guatemala for a study abroad. This was by far my favorite. Very "paradise found". The interior of the rooms was a bit vintage, especially the bathrooms, but I loved it! Lots of other reviewers are saying the decor is "tired"....overall I thought it was great. The rooms were spacious and airy.... More
